Arr Nwe Thu Par Shin is a 1970 Burmese black-and-white drama film.

The main part of this film was created by the process of superimposition: Broodthaers’s ink drawings of fish, scales, words and signs were transferred to film stock, which was used in negative to create the final work. In contrast, the title sequence, added in 1971, shows Broodthaers’s drawn storyboards filmed with a moving camera. The film was shown for the first time at the Galerie Michael Werner in Cologne in 1971, and a second film Le Poisson est Tenace, was created partly from its out-takes.

Filmed by WDR, featuring excerpts of a concert, some backstage shots, autograph signing, various bits of banter, a train trip to Devon, and a visit to a Scottish castle.

Humoresque about people who blindly follow the whims of fashion.

Commissioned by the Ministry of Oil and filmed in the summer of 1970, in Argeș and Ilfov counties, southern Romania, this film was meant to prevent a dangerous practice particularly widespread among people living in rural areas: the transfer of methane gas into homemade containers as a way of stockpiling ‘emergency’ supplies. The film shows a number of accidents of varying levels of gravity, identified after sixteen days of research in the two counties. Via several sync-sound interviews recorded in villages around the region, this stark educational film reveals the vulnerability of a rural world where, as a result of ignorance and lack of education – and also due to limited availability of regulation gas canisters, an issue which remains unmentioned in the film – people ignored basic safety rules on a daily basis and suffered fatal accidents as a consequence.

The narrative illustrates the consequences of forgetting safety rules through examples of characters almost getting hurt and the need for constant vigilance.

This short is the incomplete version of a full 30 minute short that Walt Kelly and his wife created after his dissatisfaction with Chuck Jones animated special from the year before..

The film Reading of an Extract from “Labyrinths” by J. L. Borges shows a young woman reading an essay by Argentinean writer Jorge Luis Borges titled Nueva refutacion del tiempo (New Refutation of Time) out loud. Her lips can be seen moving but her voice cannot be heard.

The film explores the eponymous location in Rome. Photographs and commentary run almost completely separately side by side.The sequence of photographs approaches the people depicted and then moves away again. The result is a pulsation, a waxing and waning in the sequence. An attached film sequence is integrated into the film. It reflects the form of the photographic film, as the flipped comic strip is transformed into a flip book through the movement of the fingers.

Then, “jump” to the 1960s, when young Tânia, newly married to Alexandre runs over Flávio (Ivaldo Selva again) in front of a newsstand.
