Myra Brown has married an older man who is unaware of her infidelities with the customers at their cafe across the street. One day, he informs her that he will be away all night and she entices a number of customers, both men and women, to come to her house for sex. During the evening, two men sexually abuse her, a lesbian fights her for the favors of another woman and another lesbian and a handsome stranger have sex with her. She is murdered by a vicious sadist, who is in turn killed by her vengeful husband.

This is a film rendition of the poem "Maximus to Himself" by Charles Olson, taken from his collection THE MAXIMUS POEMS. It is a five minute sound film, black and white action footage, juxtaposed and contrasted with color painting on the celluloid. All is synchronized and contains still shots, slow motion, and fast moving image. Most of the footage was shot in the summer of 1967, in Gloucester, Massachusetts, the home of Charles Olson and the scene of "The Maximus Poems. " The sea ballad, "The Shoals of Herring", is sung by the British song writer and folk singer, Ewan MacColl.
De Armas' last production, La frontera (1967), is a cartoon with an implausible plasticity recreated from geometric figures. This anime evokes the geopolitical conflicts of “the border and ends up turning the disputed land into the space of both opponents. However, even though it is less introspective than other of his materials, La frontera is also a trigger for artistic experimentation.

Still images of action and gesture from Mike Nichols’ WHO’S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF? are used to transform Edward Albee’s characters into the haunting shells of people they have become. To achieve this stunning effect, Boyer re-photographed the entire feature using a specially made camera that slowly recorded images off of the screen. This one minute of film was then expanded to eight minutes, resulting in a re-examination of the entire structure of a feature film – dramatic line, duration relationships and a particulate disassembly of the frames themselves.

The film is set on an island in the Pacific where a hydrogen bomb is being tested. A group of local fishermen die from radiation sickness. The inventor of the bomb, American scientist Thomas Sherwood, also receives a large dose of radiation and is now terminally ill. Once he professed the theory of "redemption through his own suffering," but now, in the face of death, he realized that such atonement does not benefit anyone.
