Cinematic Era: 1962 Vintage

Van der Keuken follows the creative process of Lucebert, a Dutch painter annex poet. Episode four of four in a series for the VPRO.

The film is set in the early 18th Century and involves smugglers and preventative officers. The on-shore leaders of the smugglers are a rascally lawyer and his wife who organise regular 'runs' of contraband. Richard Merivale, a wealthy young boy, whose parents are believed to have been lost at sea comes to live with them. By his efforts and with help of local children who endure many exciting adventures, the gang are brought to justice and Richard is reunited with the father.

Inspector Willoughby is in Paris looking to capture the famous international spy, Agent X-13. He finds the spy "disguised" (with his head upside down) but Willoughby uncovers the "disguise" and gives chase. Agent X-13 ends up at the train station and riding the Orient Express. The Inspector follows with the agent using a variety of schemes to do away with Willoughby. He notices a downhill grade and sends a safe sliding down to crush the Inspector but the grade becomes an uphill grade and the safe ends up crashing into X-13. X-13 tries feeding him several poisonous foods and Willoughby's stomach turns out to have a trap door. Finally, Willoughby and X-13 battle on top of the train with X-13 leaping from the train to avoid hitting a tunnel and lands in Willoughby's net, then finding himself tied to a scale after going through the tunnel. The Inspector, having captured the crook, exclaims, "That's what I call apprehending crime on a big scale!"

However, when Suat learns that his wife is having dinner alone with someone, he hires "the sleuth without a badge" Sami Külyutmaz to investigate the matter.

Since comic artist Yeh Hung-chia started publishing the comic series, Jhuge Shiro in 1958, this production was the first live-action movie made based on the story and the only Taiwanese-language Jhuge Shiro movies that has survived. King Gui’s two daughters become the victims of the Demon Society as the villains try to seize King Gui’s treasured Dragon and Phoenix Swords. When King Gui is at his wit’s end, Jhuge Shiro and Zheng Ping, two young swordsmen, turn up and solve the crisis. Made in the era of Taiwanese-language cinema, the traditional music and dance are incorporated in the film; moreover, the masks the gangsters wear have become a unique trademark.

Loweezy helps the actress research the role, even to Beulah's dressing exactly like Loweezy. But confusion ensues when Snuffy sees Beulah outside the theater and mistakes her for Loweezy.

In a mountainous Greek village, two brothers passionately fall in love with the same woman. Their great love for them makes them unrelenting rivals, with the consequent tragic conflict between them and their extinction.

A documentary film about the great floods in Macedonia, filmed from 16 to 18.11.1962. The film shows the catastrophic floods in November 1962 that hit Macedonia, when the largest Macedonian rivers: Vardar, Treska and Crna overflowed their banks. The film shows footage during and after the floods and the efforts of the people in the fight against the raging water element and in saving the endangered lives and material wealth.

Over 24 hours, camera follows everything that is happening on a bench. In that time, the bench is used by a variety of people: pensioners basking in the morning sun, a young mother with her baby, a married couple and, finally, a boy and a girl for whom the bench is a perfect place for love, etc.
