Christmas Eve. The children ask for money for the Judas (Un Vintén pa’l Judas), and the protagonist, a failed tango singer without means or will to live, meets a friend, a public employee, in search of some rummage. The tango singer, in need of money to buy a guitar to use in a singing contest, collects the winnings for himself, betraying the trust of his friend, in the same way as the Judas that the children burn on the streets.

To settle the problem the God placed a spell on his daughter transforming her into a Pau fruit and to be thrown on earth. As it landed in the seas it was swept a shore and was found by the maids of a queen who ate the fruit. She was found to be pregnant not long afterwards.

Widower Barrister Ashok lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay, India along with his sister-in-law, and a young son, Ramesh. One day while driving, he accidentally runs over a woman, brings her home, cares for her until she recuperates and tells him that her name is Kamla and is homeless. He finds that Ramesh likes her, so he marries her. After a few months, he is delighted when she becomes pregnant. This delight sours considerably when he finds out through his friend, Pran, that Kamla had been frequenting the OK Club. Then he witnesses her abusing Ramesh. Finally, he drives her out when Ramesh is killed by poisoned milk. Kamla gives birth to a baby boy but Ashok takes over sole custody and names him Mohan.

Even in the second decade after its end, World War II is still claiming victims. Lives are lost and many people are permanently injured – disabled. The reasons for this are the numerous explosive devices that, left and forgotten or deliberately hidden, arouse the curiosity of children. Tragedy in such cases is rarely avoided. Adults also suffer, who, most often, would like to misuse explosives, not assuming the fatal outcome. Members of the civil protection and security forces dismantle and destroy the mines and bombs found. All those who come across explosive devices should participate in their work, so that contact with death becomes a thing of the past.

The Oslofilms represent a unique and important chapter in Norwegian film history.
