Considered the first Portuguese abstract film. In the already difficult category of fantasy, in fact this production marks an extraordinarily prominent place, since its production, both technically and artistic, denotes qualities of knowledge, taste and patience, which can hardly be found together in the same individual. The film begins by showing us a painter who, in his pursuit of art, ends up experimenting with a mixture of representative drawings of figurative art and others of abstract art. Vasco Branco carried out an important experiment in the field of cinema without camera. The second part of the film, exactly where the fantasy develops, was made with drawings open to steel-tipped film, then directly colored in watercolor and guacho.

Because of the film's choices of text and illustration were made so well – and because the natural anatomy of memory is so like that of cinema montage– the movie's effectiveness is very great, and it stands as a worthy initial exploration of the medium in which Mr. Boultenhouse has wrought so well. –Wallce Thurston, Kulchur #16

Even in the second decade after its end, World War II is still claiming victims. Lives are lost and many people are permanently injured – disabled. The reasons for this are the numerous explosive devices that, left and forgotten or deliberately hidden, arouse the curiosity of children. Tragedy in such cases is rarely avoided. Adults also suffer, who, most often, would like to misuse explosives, not assuming the fatal outcome. Members of the civil protection and security forces dismantle and destroy the mines and bombs found. All those who come across explosive devices should participate in their work, so that contact with death becomes a thing of the past.
