Cinematic Era: 1959 Vintage

In this film, Philippe Durand wanted to express all that his experience of the Algerian war left in him, as physical and moral bruises. It is a love film, it shows the daily life in France of the fiancée that the young called left and who fights against absence. He drew a close correspondence between this girl, who was harmed by the accidents of daily life, and that boy was soiled by what was forced to do for the superior needs of pacification.

The story spanning the ages from prehistory to the conquest of space depicts the coexistence and battles between the weakling ‘little man’ of the title (a symbolic figure of the working class) and the exploitative elite.

The resemblance between a criminal and a simple theater actor, who recently got engaged to his beloved, causes problems. The criminal is wanted and tries to use this resemblance to carry out his evil plans and escape danger in time. The police, with the cooperation of the theater actor, disguise one of the actors as the victim and place him in the path of the criminal. The killer tries to escape upon seeing the victim, but the police, with their vigilance, manage to apprehend him.

A Lost Persian Film. The manager of a large workshop who is in love with "Gohar", the wife of one of his engineers, fails to attract the woman's attention. He throws the engineer in prison with a conspiracy and then smears Gohar himself. When the engineer is released from prison, he finds out about the incident and refuses to continue living with his wife. After a while, the manager, the engineer, and Gohar face each other again. During a fight, the manager injures the engineer and Gohar, but gets himself caught. The engineer, who realizes that she is his wife, goes to her again in this sinful affair and starts a new life together.

In 1959, Jean Cocteau looked back on his artistic journey for the Télé Monte-Carlo television show Tout la vérité, rien que la vérité. The program ends with a tasty anecdote about television that Cocteau describes as a “box of tricks”. A few weeks later, in the same Victorine studios, Cocteau directed most of the sequences for his last opus: The Testament of Orpheus (1959).

After Lan learns the truth, she helps Zhu find her husband and exposes Yang's lies ......

A banana tree was uprooted by the storm and washed to the shore by flash floods. When the tortoise found out, he called the monkey to help him carry the tree back. The monkey saw the banana and wanted to eat it very much, so he proposed to the tortoise to divide the tree, and the tortoise advised the monkey to wait for the tree to grow before dividing it. The monkey refused, and cut the tree in half with an axe, and carried away the part with the bananas. The tortoise had no choice but to move the section with the roots back and plant it. After careful management, the roots regrown the trunk soon, and a tree full of bananas was formed.
