In a large shoe store, Erik Hansen is the salesman for a sweet and smart young girl, Edith Bjørnfeldt, with whom he falls head over heels in love. He persuades her to go out with him in the evening. At a dance restaurant, they accidentally meet Edith's brother Willy Bjørnfeldt, a Copenhagener and one of the smart go-out types of the time. When Edith and her brother are alone at the table for a moment, Willy advises her to seize the opportunity and marry Erik, and thus say goodbye to the shoe business, which is hanging over her by the throat.

Ambushed by the Vigilantes, a dying friend gets Johnny who was only passing through to take up the fight. To get in with the gang, Johnny poses as an outlaw and then beats them to a gold shipment by robbing the train ahead of them. This gets him invited into the gang. They are all masked and unknown to Johnny, one of them is his brother.

The stooges are icemen who, while delivering ice to a house on the top of a high hill, destroy several cakes that a wealthy man is trying to bring home. When their antics cause the servants at their customer's house to quit, the boys are hired to take their place and prepare a dinner party. What they don't know is that the party is for the man whose cakes they wrecked. When Moe's gas filled cake explodes and the man realizes who they are, they must leave in a hurry.

Popeye and Poopdeck Pappy are trying to play poker, but Swee'Pea's crying keeps interrupting them. Pappy wants to smack the tot, but Popeye persuades him to try psychology instead. Popeye tells the story of how "George Washlincoln" chopped down the cherry tree. Inspired, Swee'Pea chops a hole in the floor, then tells the truth. Popeye rushes out to buy him a reward, leaving Pappy in charge, but Pappy believes in a rather dangerous style of parenting, introducing him to William Tell (from both ends of the gun). Pappy lies about it to Popeye.

Eberhard gets into a brawl with Dr. Spindler not knowing that he just slapped his boss. To avoid the embarrassment Eberhard asks his friend Frank to substitute for him in the meeting with Dr. Spindler. Which accelerates the ensuing chaos.

Buddy Rogers buys one of the ponies in training, and later uses him in a match where Jack Holt and Joe E. Brown are among the players. Edward G. Robinson and Jack Oakie are among the spectators who see Joe. E. Brown knock in the winning score.

Dramatic events in a Harlem apartment house center around Pa Wilkins, chosen by the Better Business League to replace their ousted, crooked leader Marshall...who wants revenge; and Pa's ward Jim Bracton, a two-timing Romeo whose affairs are coming to a crisis. And hanging around is Marshall's murderous junkie henchman, Lomax. Will it all end in someone's being killed?

When it stops, it turns out that there is only one passenger on board. A younger, strange-looking, elegantly dressed man steps onto the platform with a couple of suitcases with lots of nice brands from foreign countries. The man's name is Nelson. Many years ago he went abroad. Now he is returning home to see how things are in his hometown.

Andy's dad takes a job patching a roof. Hilarity ensues.

Film star Priscilla Lane extols the virtues of joining the Red Cross in the lead up to World War II.

Isabel, the daughter of Don Antonio; a rich land owner in Tepestates, Jalisco returns to her town after five years away, to visit her father. She is confronted by the unpleasant surprise that her dad has been assassinated by the malicious municiple government, which has the whole town in a clutch of terror. "An excellent sharp-shooter is worth more here, than a good lawyer..." This phrase inspires lawyer Leonardo Torres to convert himself into a guardian of justice, who will defend the right of the weak against tyranny. Nobody would ever guess that the "timid" lawyer is in reality none other than the dreadful "Zorro of Jalisco."

The film narrates events of the Revolution of the Park, carried out by radical sympathizers on July 26, 1890. There is a secondary plot with the romance of a girl who, despite being in love with her father's godson, must contract a marriage with a banker that fails.

A college girl (Bonnie Kildare) dreams of her boyfriend (Johnny Downs) as he sings her a love song. The song begins at graduation ceremony and eventually moves to a soda fountain. A mixed double quartet contributes a lovely chorus.
