A Terrytoons cartoon released 18 March 1938.

Watson crafted a dazzling visual ballet that stands on its own as an aesthetically rewarding and educationally inspiring tour of the massive Kodak factories. Utilizing the multiple exposure imagery he had used to such great effect in The Fall of the House of Usher (1928) and Lot in Sodom (1933), Watson makes tool and die drill presses, assembly lines of camera parts, and the film coating process every bit as expressive and interesting as an MGM historic drama.

The story of Dr. George Washington Carver (1864-1943), black educator and horticulturist. He is perhaps most well known for developing over 140 products from all parts of the peanut plant, including the shells and husks. He also developed products based on sweet potatoes and soybeans, and developed a cotton hybrid that was named after him.

This 1938 film by Mario Camerini is the German version of a previously-made film by the same director. However, unlike the previous film, this one isn't quite as serious. A libertine gets married, but is free to carry out his adventures in this marriage of convenience. Eventually, however, he will discover that the marriage is more than something convenient and will lead, surprisingly, to something he never expected.

In the port town, Arvi Rajanne falls in love with the charming Kerttu.

This movie revolves around an extramarital affair between a young, hot widow, Binodini, and Mahendra. Mahendra's beautiful wife Ashalata is a good friend of Binodini. For her feelings of love and affection, Binodini comes to stay with Mahendra's family. Behari, Mahendra's best childhood friend also gets mentally involves with Binodini.

Set in North Karelia, whne Antti Ihalainen's house runs out of matches, he goes to borrow some from a neighbor. On the road, he meets a rich widower, Jussi Vatanen, who asks Ihalai to be his speaker and friend on an engagement trip to the city of Jo. The hosts from Lieper are snorting drunkenly from behind their shoulders.

Struggling young actress Jenny (Marjorie Browne) joins her dad (Mark Daly) when he moves into Aunt Hetty's (Elsie Wagstaff) boarding house. Aunt Hetty overworks them, but Jenny is lucky enough to find love in the form of aspiring songwriter Tom (Hal Thompson). But their romance is threatened and nearly destroyed by the jealous star actress of the local pantomime company. However, the young lovers move on to bigger and better things after winning a London West End theatre contract.

Mania is the illegitimate child of a girl from the suburbs of Krakow and a lawyer. Bowing to the will of the family, he abandons the girl, leaving a large monetary "compensation". The girl dies, but before she dies she leaves a certain Mr. Majcherek a letter and a document, proving that Mania will be able to receive the money when she comes of age. The dishonest Majcherek (knowing the contents of the letter) must therefore wait 20 years to be able to apply for Mania's hand and thus come into possession of her property. Unaware of anything, Mania lives in the suburbs with Maciejowa (who took her in as a child) thinking that she is her daughter. When Majcherek begins to adore Mania it turns out that she already has two rivals - boys from the neighborhood. That's when the fourth one appears - handsome Zygmunt. Mania loses her head for Zygmunt. What she doesn't know is that he is in fact her real father's upbringing....

In 1936, Hungary’s championship team, escorted by their captain, Count Szirmay, retreats to a lakeside villa after a triumphant win in London, only to discover that a runaway English bride, Gingi Cheswick, has stowed away among them. Tasked with returning her home, serious young Gyurka Károlyi finds himself reluctantly drawn to her, while the team’s prankster Blazsek engineers a series of comic mishaps. Reunited under the strict watch of a girls’ institute and pursued by Gingi’s determined father, Gyurka and Gingi must navigate misunderstandings and rival suitors. Their story culminates on the playing field, where Gyurka’s unexpected heroics secure both a sports victory and the approval needed for their romance.

The writer Viktor Borg is always in arrears with his manuscripts, much to the annoyance of his publisher, editor and friend Otto. Without further ado, Otto announces the arrival of Viktor’s new murder mystery, which is to appear in the “Illustrierten Woche” in installments. When Viktor attends a magician’s performance with Otto, in which a woman in a glass box disappears, Viktor comes up with the idea for the first chapter of his mystery: In his novel, the woman stays disappeared and is the victim of a crime. During the magician’s performance the next evening, the young woman, Dolly Marlow, really does disappear and things progress exactly as Viktor described in his installments.

Kenyon has the newly arriving Ranger shot and his man Martin assume the Ranger's identity. Clay finds the Ranger before he dies and learns the truth. But when Clay confronts Martin, Martin convinces the townspeople he is a real Ranger and Clay is the murderer. Clay escapes and must now find a way to expose Martin as a fake.

The peace of Trépigny is shattered when the new mayor Lebrennois sets out to modernise the little village and make it more attractive to tourists. Opposed to his schemes is the village's stationmaster Gargousse, a free-spirited soul who poaches in his spare time and has no time for Lebrennois's grand ambitions. Relations between Gargousse and the mayor are further strained when the former's goddaughter Antoinette begins an affair with the latter's nephew Allain. The mayor insists that the railway line is out-dated and should be replaced with a more efficient coach service. By taking up Lebrennois's offer of a duel, Gargousse has one last chance to save his job and discredit the unpopular mayor...

Weary of his running-in-circles existence as a merry-go-round horse, the little hobby-horse gets a case of wanderlust. That night he gets out after the fair has closed and takes in the world of the Crazy House, the Wax Museum, the Ferris Wheel and a roller coaster. Battered and beaten from his adventures, he concludes he is better off on his stand at the merry-go-round.

Olive has a small leak in a pipe; she makes the mistake of calling Wimpy to fix it, and the even bigger mistake of asking Popeye to help her do something until Wimpy can arrive. Meanwhile, Wimpy keeps realizing he's forgotten his tools, his gloves, etc. and going back. Popeye finally eats his spinach and manages some fixes to the system.

Adolf Jansson makes a living doing odd jobs until one day he gets a job working as a butler in the Pettersson residence. Adolf is instantly liked by everyone in the family except the daughter Susette, whom Adolf has fallen in love with.

He then turns to an easel and begins to draw 'the road of health'; the cartoon takes this up in magic drawing, in a style that is highly reminiscent of the 'Giro the Germ' series made for the Health and Cleanliness Council a few years before.

Sabine Heitmann, the young boss for the shipping company Heitmann, has become friends with Michael, the First Officer and Helmsman of the ship, the "Sabine Heitmann". He only knows Sabine by her first name and doesn't know that she's the boss. When he discovers the fact, however, he gets pissed and refuses to accept his promotion to Captain. Then the shipping company gets a lucrative offer: In a competition with another shipping company, they need to reach Baltimore in 18 days and pick up some freight. Whoever can move their rear ends faster, gets the very profitable contract from an American firm (correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this sort of thing sink the Titanic?). Together with Michael, Sabine comes up with a plan, which should have them win the contest. The upshot? She wins back his heart and he becomes Captain.

After a flood, the Sea Charity Association sends Liu Hao Ming to a village to direct the burial of corpses. Hao Ming meets the singer Ruyun and her father there, and advises Ruyun not to sing a beautiful song, but to sing “The Beauty of Yu” instead, which Ruyun obeys to the full applause of the audience, but arouses the displeasure of a butcher, Sa-zuo, and others. When the flood comes again, the village people go to Shanghai to evacuate. Sa-zuo and the others ask Hao-ming for help, and Hao-ming leads them to an empty mansion to spend the night, where they run into Ruyun's father and learn that Ruyun has been separated. A female ghost haunts the house and they all escape from the house. Hao Ming does not see Ruyun's father and goes back to look for him, but he sees that the female ghost is Ruyun.

One of the last Yiddish films made in Poland before the Nazi invasion, this film tells the story of a mother's persistent struggles to support her three children in pre-war World War II Polish Ukraine. After her family is pulled apart by severe poverty and the turmoil of war, she and her children make their way to New York and turn to the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society for help.

Porky and Pinky go to the beach. As Porky tries to nap, Pinky keeps whacking him with his little shovel. Then he fakes drowning in a shallow puddle. Porky enters a swim race, and Pinky sets a fake shark to follow him.

Alexis, a former war pilot, attempted the Paris-Tokyo raid and failed. He became a taxi driver. The film actress, Margot Fontane, forgets her bag in the taxi and Alexis thus meets her. He goes to see the great actress shoot, he is hired for a small role as an aviator, and to simulate a take-off, he flies to Tokyo. It is the signal of happiness for the two lovers.

Monika (German: Eine Mutter kämpft um ihr Kind, lit. 'A Mother Fights for Her Child') is a 1938 German melodrama film directed and written by Heinz Helbig. The story centers on a singer who relinquishes her illegitimate daughter to a German engineer in São Paulo to pursue her career, only to return eight years later as a celebrated film star and wife of a prominent surgeon, demanding custody after encountering the child on a film set.

The government has set up a special agency to stamp out what it considers the number one public menace: the jitterbug. They aren't after the many followers, but the primary perpetrator of the jitterbug, who they've coined "Public Jitterbug No. 1". Hal Sturges is one of several agents working on the case who goes undercover as a dancer in Broadway haunts to find and capture Public Jitterbug No. 1. In his investigation, Hal runs across the beautiful Betty, a seemingly innocent bystander. Hal and Betty fall for each other. However Betty is unaware that Hal is a federal agent, and Hal is unaware that Betty is Public Jitterbug No. 1. Will their roles as agent and public menace number one take priority over their roles of man and woman?

Made by Max Fleischer as part of Paramount's "Screen Songs" series, and combining cartoon action with live performers. Opens as a cartoon showing kidding newsreel-type shots of a lion tamer, a tight-rope walker, an actor and a sweepstakes winner as caught by a candid(animation) camera. Ends with a cut to live action with Jerry Blaine and his Streamline Rhythm Orchestra playing while band vocalist Phyllis Kenny sings the title song.

Inspector Doirel investigates the murder of a man whose servant was found tied up. He discovers very quickly that the servant has lied. The latter ends up denouncing his accomplice who is arrested when he was going to kill the informer.

David Bradley made this fan film when he was just sixteen. Apparently, he had not seen the original before embarking on the project.

After saying goodbye to friends, a man walks towards the port while realizing that what a young woman with a graceful voice sang begins to open the door that leads him to the path of faith.

Two business partners are having woman trouble. One wants to marry his secretary and the other is set to marry a wealthy aristocrat. When the partner who wants to marry his secretary lets her go before he proposes to her, the woman confused woman tries to commit suicide by jumping into a river. Complications ensue.

The Captain of a tramp steamer is forced by his ship's owner to smuggle some priceless pearls, and take them to Singapore.

They are three fishermen from the Old Port: Toinet, Pénible and Girelle. Two of them are in love with two pretty merchants. Not confident in their natural seduction, they decide to use drastic measures to be sure to attract and sustain the attention of these young ladies. This is how they approach them by posing as wealthy industrialists. But now the young girls, not to be outdone, present themselves as film actresses.

"If they were as rare as orchids we would probably rave about them" opens this film in the Secrets of Nature series, directed by the prolific Mary Field. The mesmerising time-lapse photography is offset by a jokey commentary voiced by EVH Emmett, then best known as the voice of the Gaumont newsreel. The flippant tone is exemplified by his comment on the range of responses to dandelions: "Some gardeners tear up the lawn and lay crazy paving, some tear up a high cliff and jump off".
