Alf Garrard, carpenter and amateur filmmaker, shot this film, combining undercover footage of men working on a building site with a re-enactment of a strike which took place there in October 1934. Garrard’s maintenance job on the building site allowed him to move about easily with his camera concealed behind his apron - into which he had cut a hole. This ingenious shooting style results in images combining imaginative angles with a not infrequent lack of focus.

Amateurs on the stage, Amateurs on Radio and now - with the cooperation of the New York Daily Mirror the Amateur's Movie Contest was conducted in New York City. This March of Time newsreel describes the organizing of the Croix de Feu, "Crosses of Fire," and the events of February 6th, 1934 in Paris, an attempted fascist coup against the democratic government of France.

A compilation of Christmas footage from Paris, the Provence and Bavaria compiled by distribution company Express Film. Luxury and prosperity contrast with the food distribution for the homeless and the traditional celebrations in the countryside.

The tale of Jeemuthavahan, a virtuous Vidyadhar king, who offers himself as a sacrifice to Garuda to save a Naga named Sankhachuda. The story culminates in a dramatic rescue and the resolution of the conflict between Garuda and the Nagas, with happiness eventually prevailing.

It leads from Baden-Baden with its 20 hot springs through the Murg Valley southwards, past the Daimler factory and the friendly Gernbach stream, along the scenic Black Forest High Road, past the Allerheiligen monastery at the foot of Kniebis-Freudenstadt, Württemberg's highest town - Thermalbad Rippoldsau - through the Schappach Valley with its high pastures and isolated farmsteads down to the Kinzig, the border between the northern and central Black Forest.

The father and daughter receive a brochure and watch a promotional film at the Reichsbahn office cinema. The film showcases the efficiency of container transport, featuring various goods like apple juice, strawberries, glassware, and furniture being packed and transported using Reichsbahn containers. The film highlights safety features and the ease of moving large items, concluding with the slogan “From house to house.”

The slums and unemployment lines of London's East End contrast sharply with Silver jubilee celebrations for George V in this lively and angry short film. Shot by amateur filmmakers without sound, it uses simple, effective juxtaposition techniques to portray the jubilee celebrations as bread and circuses - distracting public attention from social deprivation and reactionary policies (including rearmament). Fatima is a poor wife married to Hamido the sailor. Due to financial constraints, she pawns her jewelry to cover household expenses. She meets Umm Mahmoud, who is often away from home for work. Umm Mahmoud offers to arrange an evening with Ali Bey for Fatima. She goes to visit him, and her husband arrives, becoming suspicious. A dispute arises between them.

Fisherman Urashima Tarō rides a turtle on top of the ocean waves.  They then submerge underwater and arrive at a castle, where they are celebrated and greeted by dancing people and octopodes, and a princess.  Based on the folktale “Otogi Banashi.”

Amateur footage filmed in Kodacolour, showing people and landscapes in Sikkim and Tibet. Scenes include people travelling by donkey, a dancing group, a camel train and camels drinking at a riverbank, people walking down a road, children in traditional dress, officials at a residence, scenes in a busy town and workers winnowing grain.

This film is an industrial documentary in the usual tradition of utilitarian films and shows the making of various laminated products at a factory in Brăila.

The Catholic Eucharistic Congress held in Ljubljana in June 1935, with the Papal Legate, Cardinal August Hlond of Poznan, as guest of of honour, and a mass held in the new Central Stadium designed by Joze Plecnik.
