Cinematic Era: 1928 Vintage

Minute-long shots of the Dutch factory's grounds and the surroundings. We see the production process of 'de bekende murwe lijnkoeken W. L. en Ster halfzachte lijnkoeken" (“the famous soft oil cakes W.L. and Ster semi-soft oil cakes”). At the end, we see a parade of the whole range of products, including the “Ster linum flour” (“very kneadable”), “soya cakes”, “groundnut cakes” and “coconut cakes”.

The movie is about the suppressed revolt of "khaspushes", Persian peasants and craftsmen in 1891.

A young French girl from a small town runs away to Paris to gain fame and fortune in the nightclub circuit. However, she soon finds out that "show business" isn't always a glamorous as she thought it would be.

A chipper young inventor seems to have a stroke of good luck when an eccentric millionaire gives him a yacht as a gift… but the “millionaire” is really an escapee from an asylum and the yacht is being used to smuggle illicit spirits by a gang of bootleggers. Can’t win ‘em all…

Qi can't stand the family she's been married into tries to escape. On the day that she escapes, her sister-in-law is killed by her nephew. Qi becomes a suspect and is arrested. After being released from prison, Qi decides to take revenge on society. She makes a living betraying her lust and hangs out in various places with unconventional people. She meets Zou Wenlan, and the two fall in love and plan to start a new life together. However, the Zou family strongly opposes the marriage, and the two are separated. Qi jumps into the sea and commits suicide. Facing Qi's tombstone, Zou Wenlan and and his family are full of sorrow and repentance.

Felix the Cat Short

"Paris, Paris, you know, I would eat it..." wrote André Sauvage. An artist close to the avant-gardes, André Sauvage composed the first great filmed portrait of Paris. Its ambitious symphony of a big city marries, on the music composed by Jeff Mills, the changing rhythm of the Belle Époque. Contemporary of the dizzying explorations of Dziga Vertov and Walter Ruttmann, Sauvage is less fascinated by speed than by the repertoire of urban mobility, attentive to the neighborhoods he crosses, always curious about their furtive inhabitants. He draws a portrait of Paris in five studies: Paris-Port, North-South, the islands of Paris, the Little Belt and from the Saint-Jacques tower to the Sainte-Geneviève mountain.

Partially lost movie. Based on the novella ‘The Red Scarf’ by Mikhail Pavlovich Rogi. The story of a peasant woman who comes to the city to join her husband, a factory worker, and finds it difficult to adjust to her new life. Only the fourth part of the film has survived.

After the grey city rain has turned to snow, we find ourselves together with a silhouette figure in the snow-covered mountains. Under the motto "Get on your skis", a winter sports experience for young and old begins - from ski jumping, figure skating and bobsleighing to mountain tours on skis. Animation techniques and documentary real film footage, in which the winter sports enthusiasts themselves often look like silhouetted figures against a white snow background, intertwine, overlap and merge into a cinematic winter snow experience.

A cowboy promises his dying foster-father, "Honest" John Maggert, that he will return the cattle that Maggert rustled from the local ranchers.

One of them was The Lost Whirl. This film featured stop-motion animation by Joseph L. Roop, who worked on the original classic, The Lost World.

Feelings about Google are less kind, and soon the four of them are on a train headed elsewhere, causing havoc to passengers and crew.

Silivia the Zulu is an experiment in ethnographic cinema that combines fiction and documentary techniques to tell a love story of a member of the Zulu tribe in a fight against witchcraft and betrayal. With the help of anthropologist Lidio Cipriana, director Attilio Gatti traveled to a true rural Zulu village, whose inhabitants are involved in the film, to recreate his mythological vision of African culture.

Purchased and installed, the washer proves troublesome and after several attempts at laundering, the salesman returns only to be ejected...along with his appliance.
