Jane Brower wants nothing more than to leave behind her ranch life in the West and go East. When she happens upon a party in the private railroad car of wealthy August Van Dorn, Jane gets the idea to finance her trip by kidnapping his son, Donald, for ransom. While Jane is negotiating with the senior Van Dorn, his son is kidnapped by two bandits. Donald soon escapes and seeks out Jane, with whom he has fallen in love. After Donald rescues Janes from the bandits, they decide to marry and spend their honeymoon in New York City.

When he reaches the church someone else has run off with his bride. He then replaces them with Mazda lights and is able to track down and reclaim his bride.

Slim Ranthers objects to the development of an irrigation project on his ranch and incurs the enmity of those involved in it. Max Underly, Slim's rival for the affections of Bess Livingston, has Slim unjustly accused of cattle rustling. Since the accusation does not deter Slim, Max and his men ambush him at night, wounding him in the arm. Slim eventually defeats Max and wins the affections of Bess.

The next frames present a collage composed of photographs of the washing powder Schichtal, a seductive sphinx and a little head of a man accompanied by text recommending products from the Schicht company (Radion, Schichtal, Kalodont, Elida and Ceres). The commercial for the Czechoslovak-based Schicht company was filmed abroad. Information as to whether the film was submitted for censorship is unknown. The title originates from the text presented at the beginning of the commercial and the year of production was estimated.

Diaz de Toledo, a South American refugee, finds a job in a luxury hotel with a cosmopolitan clientèle. . There he makes friends with the Parkers, a fabulously rich family and falls in love with Chela, the daughter. Unfortunately, the young woman is seduced by an adventurer, Lord Hampton, who elopes her. When she realizes who Hampton actually is, Chela asks Diaz for help. He does come to her rescue but while defending her he gets badly hurt by Hampton. Some time later, Diaz and Chela present a living target number in a night club. Hampton, who has not said his last word, resurfaces.

Gamble also is imprisoned but frees all the prisoners as well as himself by impersonating the prison comandante. After forming an army, Gamble delivers the message--a large money draft sufficient to pay the army and secure President Losada's government--and is rewarded with Angela's love.
