Scenes from the history of the French Bourgeois Revolution are interspersed with footage showing Karl Marx calling for the unity of the proletariat across all nations. Inspired by the call to action, the workers rise up to fight for freedom. An escape is organised from the fortress wherein political prisoners are held. The revolutionaries print and distribute leaflets. They are pursued and arrested. But the struggle continues. The film’s visual material serves as an illustration for the captions, which present brief summaries of the history of the revolutionary movement. An old inventor is robbed of his inventions by an unscrupulous rich man. When the inventor dies, his daughter Violet goes to New York and joins the "Follies," where she is advertised as "The Belle of New York." The rich man's son is infatuated with Violet, and is introduced to her anonymously as Jack. When Violet learns of Jack's identity, she casts him off. He takes to drinking and she joins the Salvation Army. Jack is attacked in an underworld saloon just as Violet enters in Salvation Army attire. She nurses him at his home. When Jack's father discovers with whom Jack is in love, he begs forgiveness for the wrong he did Violet's father.

George Farrelly, the bored custodian of the safe-deposit vaults in a New York bank, is visited by his childhood sweetheart, Charity Garvice, who tells him that his blind old teacher, Martha Owen, has a premonition that something is wrong in George's life.

Animation featuring Bobby Bumps. A "Bray" Studios Production. Bobby tries to sneak his dog into the theatre. He gets past the woman at the kiosk but the commissionaire spots the dog in a mirror. The pooch licks tears from his master's eyes as they sit on the pavement outside. An aristocratic lady arrives at the theatre in a chauffeur driven car and the dog gets underneath the train of her dress and into the auditorium. Bobby follows after him. They watch a film where a hypnotist commands his victim to "Bark like a dog". Bobby tries to hypnotise his pet and tells him to "Bark like a dog". He does so and they are thrown out of the theatre. They are kicked so hard that they fly through the window of a tram. Bobby then hypnotises the conductor into believing that they had paid their fare and indeed that the conductor owes them change. The conductor gives them some money. Bobby has a good laugh about their scams.

Villainous convict Ralph Vickers plots against a Mill owner Mr. Lucas. Vickers works to undermine Lucas while pursuing his daughter, Geraldine. Vickers' schemes are eventually thwarted by the mill’s office boy, who manages to baffle the villain's designs.

Revenge Is Mine (German: Die Rache ist mein) is a 1919 German silent film directed by Alwin Neuß and starring Paul Otto and Lil Dagover.

The doctor Ada Haller pursues a successful career as a scientist, in which she comes more and more into conflict with her marriage and the role expected by society as a woman. An extremely progressive and conventional film at the same time, which takes up modern themes and shows parallels to the life of the leading actress: Esther Carena, real name Franziska Lucia Pfeiffer, studied medicine for a semester before she came to film through acrobatics and pantomime; after their marriage in 1924, she withdrew from an extremely successful silent film career into private life.

A woman "rents" a husband for the purpose of divorcing him so she can win another man, who prefers widows.

Karin is a model for the painter Otto Werner, with whom she is very much in love. He, however, is merely toying with her emotions. When he becomes reacquainted with a former mistress, he soon forgets all about Karin. By contrast, Otto’s friend, the older millionaire John Fork, sees Karin and falls in love at first sight. Having received news that Otto has gone away with his mistress, Karin agrees to marry John Fork. As he leaves dejectedly, Frank discovers Irene, whose busy elderly husband neglects her, with society idler Rodney Foster.

The film opens with a panoramic shot filmed from a church tower. From the tower, we can see the old town of Enkhuizen, Netherlands, and, in the background, the former Zuiderzee. The silent witnesses from these former times are the harbour, and the ‘Dromedaris’ fortress tower.
