When the son of a leader of a Paris underworld family known as The Apaches is arrested and tried in court, the boy's mother asks the judge for mercy, but he refuses. In retaliation, the family kidnaps the judge's young daughter, and raises her to be one of their own, schooling her in the ways of crime.

Dolly makes a spirited stand for her father, but Peter wins out. In celebration Peter Pep marries Dolly, and they are off on their honeymoon in a cloud of dust.

Luke's Preparedness Preparations is a 1916 short comedy film starring Harold Lloyd.

When Pete Milholland (Owen Moore) goes on a drunken spree, his fiancee, Alice Gardner (Eva Francis), gives him back his ring. Still woozy, he stumbles out of his home to leave for Europe and winds up at Coney Island. There he meets a pretty dancer, Tessie (Irene Fenwick), and decides she can heal his broken heart. Tessie and her father view him dubiously, and her sweetheart, Jan the boatman (William Bailey), is furious. But Pete insists on bringing Tessie and her father into his social circle.

Reporter Jane Randall, who works for the Herald and Phil Norton of the Times, are competing to get the story on the Thomas Syndicate regarding when funds will be released to prevent a panic. Both head to the estate of Marsden Thomas who oversees the Syndicate. Through coercion Norton worms the info from Marsden’s son but attempts to hold up the report to do some insider trading. However, Jane with the help of her fiancé Jimmy telegraphs the Herald, gets the scoop and thwarts Nelson.

Sir Henry Bonehead is poaching Farmer Alfalfa's "game preserve", stunning animals with the scent of his pipe tobacco and shooting at what he imagines to be goats but which turn out to be Alfalfa himself. That's the standard of humor in this early Paul Terry cartoon for the Bray studio.

Severely injured after saving the son of Judge Jonathan Le Roy from a team of runaway horses circus clown, Piffle is taken to recover at the Le Roy home where he falls in love with the judge’s daughter, Millicent. She however loves another, Dick Ordway and is secretly carrying his child. When he is reported to have perished in the desert Piffle steps forward to save Millicent’s reputation by being husband and father. Millicent agrees but the judge insists Piffle leave the circus and become a banker. Piffle acquiesces but when Dick reappears many complications ensue.
