A moving picture actress is mistaken for an escaped asylum patient; the insane girl then steps into the actress's life.

Randall is a rich mine owner whose business affairs cause him to neglect his somewhat frivolous wife. There is a mutual friend whom Randall carelessly allows to entertain his wife. As a result, the friend pays more than natural attentions to the woman. The three visit one of Randall's mines. The wife and friend go down the mining shaft in a bucket. While they are yet underground, a quantity of dynamite explodes. The mine is filled with poisonous fumes.

Raymond Beahan, a young chap from the city, pays a visit to his uncle, John Purcell, the sheriff. The day after he arrives, he dresses up in his uncle's hat, cartridge belt, chaps, etc., and is about to take an old gun from the wall to put in his belt when his uncle asks him not to take the gun, as he prizes it very highly. He then tells the boy the story of how the gun came into his possession. The story is so vivid to the boy, that when his uncle leaves him to round up some bandits, and he is left alone in the cabin, he falls asleep and dreams the same story his uncle has just related to him, only HE is the hero.

Their romance causes conflict with Jack’s former lover, Inez—a Spanish dancer who attempts to stab Jack in a fit of jealousy after he breaks off their relationship to be with Grace. Years later, Grace and Jack are married, but Edwin has fallen into poverty back east. He eventually decides to join his sister in the west. Upon arriving, Edwin visits a local saloon and becomes innocently embroiled in a quarrel with a drunken cowboy, leading to a fight.

Mr. Forflush has a great desire for spending money, but his salary does not warrant the luxuries his life necessitates. The time finally comes when his creditors hound him. A wild chase takes place, which ends by Mr. Forflush jumping into a huge puddle of mud, where he accidentally finds a big wallet stuffed with bills.

Broncho and Carl cut cards to see who will go, and the former wins. On the way, Broncho Billy is shot by a half-breed who has a grudge against him.

A dancer has an accident, becomes a cleaner, and dies after dancing for her child.

Zip is a young man whose job is to dodge baseballs at a resort concession. To impress a young lady under a parasol he gets a friend to substitute for him while he pretends to be a young man of leisure. Trouble starts when the girl happens along later and discovers what Zip's job really is.

Manon Lescaut is a 1914 American silent drama film directed by Herbert Hall Winslow and starring Lina Cavalieri, Lucien Muratore and Dorothy Arthur. It is an adaptation of the Abbé Prévost's novel Manon Lescaut (1731). It is now considered a lost film.

Slippery Slim and his wife, Sophie, drive to town. While Sophie does her shopping Slim sneaks over to the saloon to get a few drinks. Here he meets Mustang, so the two drink together. Slim has promised his wife that he will not take a drink as long as he wears a certain ring on his finger, so takes off the ring before each drink.

Engineer Daily is forced to discharge his fireman for habitual drunkenness. His young daughter, Rosanna, wanders down to the tracks, and the door of the freight is closed upon her. She falls into the discharged fireman's hands. He is quite in love with her, and when he learns whose daughter she is, concludes to keep her from the exasperated parents. That's where his conscience came in, leading to regeneration and better days.

A doctor commits perjury in order to win a woman whose husband could go to prison based on his testimony.

The story concerns the reformation of a fast woman who runs a gambling establishment. Her one fear is of death and her regeneration is brought about.

Chief of Police Ivorytop and Chief of Detectives Sherlock Bonehead, of Rottenport, fall in love with Helen, a girl from the city

Zudora, not knowing she's an heiress to a $20 million fortune, lives with her uncle, a mystic and detective, who covets her inheritance. She wants to marry John Storm but her uncle is against it. However, the uncle makes a bargain; if Zudora can solve the next twenty mysteries brought to him, she can marry as she chooses. Episodes 1,2 and 8, plus another unidentified chapter, survive. The rest is believed to be lost.

With the help of Bobby's friend Biff Bates and Daniel Johnson, a loyal employee of Bobby's father, the swindlers are exposed in the newspaper and Bobby's inheritance is saved. Rip Van Winkle, a lazy American man, wanders off one day with his dog Wolf into the Kaatskill mountains where he runs into an odd group of men drinking and playing bowls. He drinks some of their mysterious brew and passes out. When he wakes up under a tree he is astonished to find that 20 years have passed and things are a lot different. This is a charming story about how America changed due to the cival war, only in a different and more subtle way than ever told before.

Ruined by Charles Wainwright, George Garrison commits suicide but begs his son Henry to avenge him before expiring. Henry goes West makes a fortune, then returns to New York. Assuming the name of Henry Thompson he becomes Wainwright's protégé and through his machinations is elected mayor of New York. For his support Wainwright wants a franchise binding the city to the financier's railway, but Henry refuses. Attempting to frame Henry on an old murder charge fails when the “victim,” Henry's partner Joe Standing shows up. Finally, Henry confronts Wainwright exposing his evil deeds. Wainwright’s daughter, Dallas, proclaims her love for Henry.

He shows Helen the letter and she shows him one from the Standard, also a check for a short story. They have a quarrel over a slight thing and he leaves for his uncle's place. Six years go by and Helen is now a very successful writer on a large daily.

Mr. Hadley shows Bill a photograph of his fiancée, Alice Mordaunt, and instructs Bill to admit her immediately should she arrive at the office. Bill leaves for lunch. Upon his return, he discovers his boss kissing Ethel, who is Mr. Hadley's sister, not his fiancée. Bill, unaware of their family relationship, is horrified, believing his boss is being unfaithful to Alice Mordaunt. Feeling a strong sense of loyalty to the absent fiancée, Bill decides to get even with his boss. He informs Mr. Hadley's real fiancée, Alice, about his boss's perceived "duplicity". The outcome is a comical situation as Bill's interference leads to misunderstandings and fallout, which is how Bill "squares it" with his boss.

Mr. Meekley, a baseball fan, has a flat tire on his way to a pennant game. He remains determined to make it to the game regardless of this and further setbacks. The film's climax was shot at a pivotal game between the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
