A dog waits in a car. The windows fog up and we hear the creature panting and whining softly – his impatience and restlessness are contagious. The dog is entirely at the mercy of people in escaping from this predicament. Janis Rafa connects this image with early Soviet space flights in which dogs were sent into space as part of experiments. Waiting for the Time to Pass is a new work, made during the corona pandemic, and the association with the limited freedom of movement and uncertainty about the lockdown is clear. In her earlier work, Rafa often commented subtly on the ecological disaster caused by anthropocentrism.

The Chronicle of Greek Dictatorship 1967-1974, is a 37 minute documentary, unpublished for decades, that records important events, from the funeral of Georgios Papandreou and Giorgos Seferis to the trials of Alekos Panagoulis and other fighters against the regime. Voulgaris began shooting on his own with a super-8 camera, copies of which he later sent in Paris to Costas Gavras and Chris Marker. The latter decided to help Voulgaris, sending him a new 16mm camera and reels thus he was able to continue the shooting.

This Greek-Bulgarian-Cypriot co-production depicts the plight of Albanian illegals in Athens and its Piraeus port. Greek intellectual Christos (Akis Sakellariou) unintentionally falls in with a streetwise group of manipulative Albanian scam artists, including Victor (Armando Dauti) Omer (Laert Vasili) and Fuad (Muzafer Et' Hem Zifla). Minus papers, they are nevertheless successfully able to get by in Greece. Eventually, Christos takes a trip to the Albanian village where the duo grew up amid murderous blood feuds.

Austerity took everything but the roof over their heads, and today it will come for that too. But this time, they will finally fight back, like a family with nothing left to lose...
