While on an excursion in the mountains, aging natural scientist, Professor Karker, discovers an idyllic valley. Here, he meets a farmer’s wife, Aase, and her two adult children: the kind-hearted Kavli and his sister Kari, who is a breath of fresh air. Stand-up about love, hate - and everything in between. From the first awkward love letters in 70s schoolyards to booty calls at the nursing home - love is a travel partner throughout life. ‘Love’ is the eighth one-man show from one of Denmark's most prolific comedians, Thomas Hartmann, and is about exactly what the title suggests. Love, or lack thereof, is an emotion that affects us all, whether we are recipients, senders or outside spectators, and when you have Hartmann's outlook on life, it is an almost inexhaustible source of amusement.

The film is shot at Havana's psychiatric hospital, Mazorra, where mainly the chronically mentally ill are treated through a rehabilitation program that aims to integrate them into society through occupational therapy. The film tells about the treatment methods used and the underlying attitude, which can also be taken as an expression of Cuban society's view of humanity.
