"Læretiden" som komiker foregik i makkerskabet med Dirch Passer på revyscenen helt tilbage i slutningen af 60'erne. Alle husker ULF fra hans fantastiske parodier på bl.a. Poul Nyrup, Kirsten Hüttemeier, Jarl Friis Mikkelsen og ikke mindst af Dronning Margrethe.
