This work shows the image of a postcard dating from the early 20th century. On a country road two men are standing near a gigantic tree. In the distance we can see a mill and the outline of a village. At first glance there is nothing that seems strange in this pastoral and picturesque tableau. But when you look closer you notice the leaves of the tree softly moving in the wind.

On March 29, 1990, Belgium passed its abortion law. At last! On the same day, King Baudouin informed the Prime Minister of his refusal to sign the law, which he considered a serious matter of conscience, preventing it from being published in the Official Journal. What followed was a six-day black hole during which, in the greatest secrecy, the government's key ministers, and they alone, attempted to find a way out of this constitutional crisis.

La Petite École in Brussels welcomes children who have never attended school, who are often from an immigrant background. Marie and Juliette have created a place outside of the classical structures of learning, where children can learn to be or become children again. But the price for this is the constant deconstruction of conventional education, and endless devotion.

In a crescendo of visual hints and sonic traces, Objet d’énigme plays with thriller tropes to depict homes as a dense space in which the memory of murder can be surmised in every frame. Using lo-fi scans of domestic spaces, Objet d’enigme lies bare a pattern in which the female body is the ever-returning protagonist.

Jan Jaap van der Wal has been living in Antwerp for years. He has a soft spot for the flat lands of Flanders. His flat land. He feels at home there and does his work there. In the theater and on TV. But when he stands on top of the cathedral, and the weather is clear, he can see the Netherlands in the distance. Also a flat land. Also his. A country that keeps calling to him. And so, Jan Jaap returns to the Dutch theaters. With the perspective of an outsider. Who sees things just a bit differently.

When Daniel Demoustier began making a film about Jean-Marie Aerts' career on the occasion of his 70th birthday, nobody could have possibly foreseen that Jean-Marie would fall seriously ill that same year. Yet Jean-Marie continued to make music and Daniel continued to follow Jean-Marie until he left us on April 20, 2024. The film offers a unique overview of the life of perhaps the greatest guitarist and producer in Belgian music history.

The love between Jan Jaap van der Wal and his second home country Belgium has not cooled off. In fact, it has grown even deeper. So the comedian created a second show especially for Flanders. In Schoon, the Dutchman delves deeper into everything that is beautiful about Flanders. And beware: beauty can also be found in ugly things. The frayed edges, sharp corners, and worn spots. They are all beautiful. It's just how you look at it. With jokes that turn absurdity into logic and logic into absurdity, it promises to be a beautiful evening.

This film deals with the fate of children during the Second World War. The Nazis divided children into two categories: “the good ones,” the Aryan children, and “the bad ones,” the others. In the name of ultranationalism, Nazism, the theory of the Übermensch, and racism, Aryan children were mentally indoctrinated, while the others were imprisoned in camps and physically destroyed. These “others” were mainly children from non-Aryan and supposedly impure races: Jews, Poles, Russians, Yugoslavs, and Roma. For this film, Lydia Chagoll conducted research in World War II documentation centers, museums, and concentration camp archives in several countries, collecting texts, documents, and photographs. The film consists of a montage of photos and footage filmed by the Nazis themselves, accompanied by voice-over commentary based entirely on quotations from Nazi publications, laws, decrees, directives, newspapers, schoolbooks, reports, and political texts.

It's time for a little dance of joy! Because, yes, Fonske Verzele is once again experiencing hilarious family adventures and Kevin Vermeulen has yet another new friend. But at the same time, everything is new in 'Veel vijven en zessen' (Lots of fives and sixes), the jokes and also numerous characters. Gili de la Tirette misleads everyone, and Dimitri Keerbergen experiences a climax at something that closely resembles Tomorrowland. Excuse me? Tomorrowland!? Yes, indeed, the icon of Flemish comedy is like a boisterous star on the dance floor. He dances. And dances! And dances! And the audience... spontaneously starts a conga line. A conga line at Tomorrowland? Only Jacques Vermeire can pull that off! With a smile. With a roar of laughter. With a thunderous laugh. A comedian at the peak of his powers.

In 1430, Philip the Good founded the Order of the Golden Fleece, a prestigious order of knighthood, to celebrate his marriage to Isabella of Portugal and to boost his political power. Filmmakers Buyse and De Craeke built a story around this history, shooting parts of it in Bruges and around Tillegem Castle. They also managed to capture footage of the unique Golden Fleece procession, which marched through Bruges on July 13 and August 17, 1930, to mark the centenary of Belgian independence.
