CIA analyst Sidney Porter is a man living two lives. One as a powerful operative of the agency's clandestine Special Activities Division. The other as an elusive, policy obsessed, former patriot whose fury at the widening gap between his government's policies and his own political ideals has him siphoning millions of dollars of the agency's money in order to fund his personal political agenda. As the very agency that employs him begins to investigate the missing funds, the walls start closing in. It's too late for Sidney to reverse course; he's come too far. He is now a political Robin Hood. He is his own Commander-In-Chief, and he's addicted to the influence he wields. Sid has to stay one step ahead of his colleagues and two steps ahead of his own demons as he becomes a nation of one.

This distinctly personal journey into the artistic possibilities of independent film is not to be missed. Jonas Mekas, Jean-Pierre Gorin, Robert Kramer and many other visionaries and mavericks of the silver screen – as well as a book seller, a critic and a psychoanalyst – discuss what cinema has meant to them, what it is and what it could be and, implicitly, how it has changed over the 18 years in which this film was shot. Director Boris Lehman leads the charge, drawing in moments of absurdist humour and inventive camera work; he keeps things raw and spontaneous. His encounters with the now much-missed Jean Rouch and Stephen Dwoskin are particularly touching and stand testament to their personal playfulness and candour. An engaging, absorbing, epic odyssey of a movie.

The 1980s were a high point of factory involvement in Grand Prix motorcycle racing. Suzuki, Honda and Yamaha battled for technological dominance in the high-powered world of 500cc two-stroke racers - and to ride these beasts they employed the very best riders in the world. The likes of Rainey, Schwantz, Lawson and Mamola struggled to tame the raw power and brutal handling of bikes built without constraints and without any of the modern rider aids which make today's MotoGP four-stroke machines seem bland in comparison. The riders might have been paid handsomely for their efforts but, as this film shows, they paid a heavy price for their fame and stardom. With loads of great action shots from the archives and revealing, frank interviews with many of the top riders this incredible documentary looks at the men who had to ride the unrideables.

Every day dozens of decommissioned school buses leave the United States on a southward migration that carries them to Guatemala, where they are repaired, repainted, and resurrected as the brightly-colored camionetas that bring the vast majority of Guatemalans to work each day. Since 2006, nearly 1,000 camioneta drivers and fare-collectors have been murdered for either refusing or being unable to pay the extortion money demanded by local Guatemalan gangs. LA CAMIONETA follows one such bus on its transformative journey: a journey between North and South, between life and death, and through an unfolding collection of moments, people, and places that serve to quietly remind us of the interconnected worlds in which we live.

Established in 1607, Jamestown was the first permanent English colony in North America. In 1994, Preservation Virginia began an archaeological project called Jamestown Rediscovery to find the remains of the original James Fort of 1607-1624. Twenty years of excavation have established the location of the fort and principal buildings, and recovered more than 1.5 million artifacts. In late July of 2012 archaeologists working in the fort came across a startling discovery. Buried in a 400-year-old cellar were the partial skeletal remains of a young English woman. Careful forensic analysis of her bones revealed that she had been cannibalized. While we may never know her true identity we have named the young woman Jane. Follow the archaeologists and the forensic scientists as they unravel her story.
