The family of a film screenwriter, who needs fresh air and, above all, peace and quiet for his creative work, moves to a small country farm for a while. However, his wife, a former, somewhat hysterical actress, still does not give him any peace, and so his small family, which also includes a six-year-old son, is in danger of falling apart. Unexpected, mysterious events, however, show them the way back. This is because there is a former coffee roastery on the farm, and the wife, together with her neighbor Dědek, starts a business against her husband's will.

When her mother passes away, Farah is forced to return from Melbourne to Jakarta in order to care for her sister Rika. However, things are more complicated than they seemed for Farah soon discovers that there are two problems that she has to resolve: caring and providing for her and her sister and finding a new place to stay as their current home is rented after her mother sold their old home in order to allow Farah to study in Melbourne, which is now too expensive for her to pay by herself. A silver lining comes in the form of her mother’s will that informs her that they are still in possession of her mother’s first house, which she deemed was a good investment due to its strategic location among the upper class, but has failed to be sold due to the fact that the place is haunted. The two sisters move in, but strange things start to happen

In the middle of June the village of Santo Antonio de Mixoes da Serra in the Valdreu region of Northern Portugal honours its Patron Saint with a very special festival. On this day the local farmers bring their animals to the church – cows, horses, dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits – to be blessed. This ancient tradition is passed from generation to generation, and today, just as hundreds of years ago, animals and people flock up the mountain roads to the church square to become a part of the religious festival. At the initiative of a festival adapting a play to the cinema, "Cid Story" is a short film that takes up act 3 scene 3 of Corneille's Le Cid. It is a contemporary version whose diegesis has been slightly disrupted. Indeed, without touching the original text, the editing and arrangement of the shots illustrate in parallel with scene 3 a different interaction between the characters, which will disrupt the course of the story. To give meaning and interest to my adaptation, I decided to play with the ambiguities left hanging by the author and taken up in the film adaptation of the play with "Charlton Eston". Corneille chooses to establish a relationship of fascination between Elvire and Chimène. I chose to go a little further by pushing the latter's feelings towards those of love. Starting from this postulate, Chimène will decide out of passion to assassinate Don Rodrigue, the man who makes the woman she loves suffer so much.
