He was called a saint and a sinner, a lawman and a criminal, a hero and a villain. Indians feared him, saying he was impossible to kill, but some people traveled hundreds of miles to try. Although his death by natural causes likely disappointed the many outlaws seeking his life, it also fulfilled a prophecy given by Joseph Smith that no bullet or blade would ever harm Porter Rockwell. Rockwell saved the life of the Prophet more than once and became a legend as a frontiersman, a marksman, and a man of iron nerve. And though many outsiders characterized Porter Rockwell as a notorious vengeful murderer, those who knew him saw a protector, a miraculous healer, and a loyal friend.

This first story in a six part series covers almost twenty years of history. It is a story of escalating violence and repression, one nation on a collision course with the rest of the world. When the United Nations adopts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948, South Africa marches in the opposite direction and begins to implement a series of laws segregating its people by race in every aspect of life, prompting the non-white majority led by the ANC to protest. The non-violent movement picks up supporters all over the world, starting first with a network of Gandhites in Britain, Sweden, and the United States. But Apartheid hardens in the face of this resistance. By the fateful year of 1964, Nelson Mandela is jailed for life, and the entire leadership is forced underground, imprisoned or killed. The movement is effectively shut down in South Africa as hundreds escape into exile.

This film is inspired by the true story of sixteen year-old Sybil Ludington, who courageously rode over 40 miles through a stormy night to save New York during the Revolutionary Wary. Sybil is historically known as the “female Paul Revere” and is a wonderful example of courage and faith. Through this film we find the story of her family, neighbors, and friends, as they face the dynamics of the Revolution and lived their lives with courage, faith, and determination. This inspiriting story touches the lives of those who embrace it, as Sybil embraces her brothers and sisters and confronts the challenges before her. She stands courageously and boldly with determination, with her father, Col. Henry Ludington, as he faces the “price on his head” by the British. A movie that will inspire your family and the youth of today and go after everything before them with determination and courage.

A police interrogation: question and answer, question and answer. A relentless circling around the establishment of guilt, underpinned by a soundtrack of techno beats that hit you in the gut. Ignas Krunglevicius' two-channel video installation is based on real-life police records: Detective Robert John is questioning murder suspect Mary Kovik. She is accused of killing her husband with his own shotgun. In the video, the people speaking can neither be seen nor heard. They are present only in the form of their words, which appear in the frame in written form, as if on an autocue. In this way, Krunglevicius - also a composer and musician - draws attention to the language of power and to the mechanisms of manipulation and coercion. At the same time, he explores the activation of the imagination as an important prerequisite for empathy.
