BURY THE HATCHET is a portrait of three Mardi Gras Indian “Big Chiefs” of New Orleans, descendants of runaway slaves taken in long ago by the Native Americans of the Louisiana bayous. Once plagued by intertribal violence, today these African-American tribes take to the backstreets of New Orleans on Mardi Gras, dressed in elaborate Native-American influenced costumes they've sewn over the course of the year. When tribes meet, instead of attacking each other with hatchets and knives, they battle over which Chief has the prettiest suit. Director Aaron Walker's 5-year-long intimate entry into this often hidden New Orleans experience also reveals other battles the Chiefs face every day: harassment by the police, gentrification of their neighborhoods, disinterested youth, old age, and natural disaster. Still, the Chiefs prove their determination to survive.

The basis of the experimental film Sky Spirits are real-life shots of fireworks. The authors of the film have collected these shots from the year 2001. to 2008. The experiment explores the ultimate limits of fireworks as sources of light, showing this through real-life dynamic light patters which are led through video processors, resulting in chromatically rich animated samples. The material is "laboratory" processed and then formed into a film unit, while respecting the dramaturgy of fireworks. The original sound was used, which was, of course, subsequently processed, too. The whole work process is a kind of "homage to the tape" because the entire work is completely recorded and realised on digital video tapes, without using any kind of computer program.

Shakespeare's drama "Hamlet" has been performed all over the world, and performed three times by the Takarazuka Revue. This time it will be in modern Denmark, with everything developed in the form of the ghosts ("black spirits" which cannot pass on) progressing. The tale's theme is basically "revenge", but lurking behind that is the frank love of a man and a woman, parent-child passions, and a futile adolescence passing by. This will be a powerful rock musical unfolding through hard rock music.

When you listen to The Years, the debut studio recording from Urbanites, you're hearing a band in progress. They wanted to make The Years differently, and decided to record the album together, live, in the same space - Studio A of Electrical Audio in Chicago, Illinois. With the exception of limited overdubs, (vocals, drum ensembles and laptop atmospherics) each song represented one collective take, warmly captured to two inch analogue tape. This recording method embraced the mistake as much as the moment. They also chose to document the making of the record with a film, appropriately titled, 'You Can't Rewind The Years'. With a new understanding and years of progress to come, these longtime friends are making the music that they'd always hoped to. As they sing, in The Years' standout track Restless, "Not without trial, not without err - this brokenness is ours to share."

"Les dragons n’existent pas is a call to the dead in a stricken land, the Ardennes. The dead are not those of the last war, but the factories that have closed down one after the other: Cellatex, the Thomé-Génot foundries, Sopal Gascogne. All fallen foul of the game of musical chairs played by international financial capitalism. Stories of strikes, machine-tool auctions, angry words, lists of grievances and industrial ruins punctuate this funeral oration, where the worker, the source of all of capitalism’s value-added, refuses to be buried in the obscurity of the Ardennes forest, the fate that befell the Roman sanctuaries in the Medieval forest." Ask any American worth their salt what they know about William Henry Harrison, and they'll probably say, "Well, I think he was that president who died only a month into office." Well, that person would be wrong. In truth, the president known as Ol' Tippecanoe actually rewrote American history. How did he do this? By faking his death and joining ranks with a shadow government known only as the Fraternity, which was, until recently, the most super secret conspiracy ever assembled: That is, until it stopped being a secret when a young female reporter found out and had the guts to report it. The Triumph of William Henry Harrison is the story of our ninth president, but it is also the story of Amanda Delacourt.
