“Whiskey is for drinking, water is for fighting over” – prophetic words credited to Mark Twain. Yet even he could scarcely have imagined they would one day apply to the Southeastern United States, a region better known for plentiful rainfall and abundantly flowing rivers. But for almost twenty years three states – Georgia, Florida and Alabama – have been locked in a fierce struggle over water. This longstanding conflict, recently ratcheted up to new level of intensity by a severe drought and a judge’s dramatic ruling, is the subject of a new documentary, Chattahoochee: From Water War to Water Vision. By interweaving individual stories, Chattahoochee: From Water War to Water Vision, will educate viewers on the complex issues and choices that increasingly face all of us when it comes to one of our most precious natural resources, water.

It’s a somewhat alternate near future... Puerto Rico is losing confidence in its political parties that for years took over loyal fanatics. The people elected with its eyes closed their first independent governor in the country’s history only to have his corrupted regime overthrown by rebels. The country has revolved. Added to this chaos is the fact that a mysterious virus, which has taken over our water supply from rivers and lakes, has infected a large portion of the citizens with symptoms like skin deterioration, extreme sensibility to sounds, and, in a matter of days, death.

Mount Analogue Revisited is based on a reworking of Rene Daumal’s book ‘Mount Analogue’. The book, unfinished before Daumal's death, is the story of a voyage to an unknown island with an improbable mountain which is seen as a means to link Heaven and Earth. Irish artists Walker and Walker adapt a short passage from the book which sees three of the crew from the voyage captured upon landing on the shore, and escorted to a municipal building. As an official demands an explanation for their actions, Walker and Walker fabricate a conversation between the three crew, the official, and the author himself. The dialogue uses the island's metaphysical nature to question the limits of reason and rationality, the quest for utopia, and whether truth can even exist. It is an adventurous philosophical tale—poetic passages leading to a spiritual quest, one which borders on science fiction.

Prairie dogs are America's answer to the meerkat - small, sociable and exceptionally cute. This offbeat film narrated by Rob Brydon takes us to the Wild West where prairie dogs live in huge colonies known as 'towns'. Like meerkats, they are comical to watch, but there is a whole lot more to prairie dogs than just being cute - they can talk. For 30 years Professor Con Slobodchikoff has been recording their calls in response to predators like coyotes, hawks and badgers. He believes he has discovered a language second only to humans in its complexity. It's a bold claim but is he right? Con has devised a series of cunning field experiments to help prove his point.
