Vasilis lives with his family in a small mountain village in the Greek countryside. When he is not supervising the workers on his estate, Vasilis kills time at the café drinking and gambling. The only thing that breaks Vasilis' routine is Tania, the singer at the local nightclub... There, Vasilis finds refuge from the meaninglessness of a life that seems to have been imposed on him...

This 14 minute short documentary features a panel hosted by the Disabled Student Union at University of California Berkeley called "Are Cripples Screwed." In addition to the panel, viewers are introduced to a community of disabled individuals who address misconceptions and stereotypes about sex and disability while sharing stories about their intimate relationships. It was first broadcast on 18 July 1972, the night before the fight with Al ‘Blue’ Lewis at Croke Park. The programme was re-mastered in 2008. This was re-edited and re-transmitted as ‘When Ali Met Cathal’ on 5 January 2009.
