For the first time, supported by scientific evidence, and indisputable footage, this film exposes the truth about a practice that breaches human rights, animal rights, and unveils a deception that will leave viewers in shock! New Zealand claims to be clean, green, and 100% pure. But can a country that drops from helicopters, an attractive food mixed with 90% of the world's annual supply of the deadly pesticide 1080 - enough poison, every year, to kill its human population 5 times over - qualify for such an esteemed self evaluation? Can a country that relies on farming exports and tourism, afford to be so cavalier with one of the worlds most deadly poisons? Poisoning Paradise lifts the lid on this bureaucratic practice, exposing an atrocity that will leave you in disbelief.....

Len Lye (1901-1980) was a pioneer of experimental animation, and also of kinetic sculpture. This short film dramatically presents 18 minutes inside the head of the artist as a teenager. The opening scenes are set in New Zealand in the year 1917, on the day when Lye (setting out on his bicycle to deliver newspapers) makes his excited discovery that motion can be the basis for a radically new approach to art.

Later that year, Khosrow Shakibaei—one of the best actors after the Iranian Revolution—tried to find and meet Behrouz Voussoughi. Leave it to Björk to make a concert release that can be treated as part of her regular body of work rather than a side note. While Björk fans have occasionally complained about the amount of repackaging of her albums, Voltaic reaffirms just how important the live aspect is to her music, and provides a couple of different perspectives on it as well. Volta sparked a particularly inspired and lavish tour that, arguably, ended up being bigger than the actual album was, but tapped into the most dramatic, primal, and elegant aspects of Björk's art overall. It's fitting, then, that the chronicles of the Volta tour are just as thoughtfully crafted as the shows were.

The Genome Chronicles is an epic investigation, unbounded by traditional notions of time, into the relationship between image and memory. Fusing personal archival material of Donald Rodney with newly shot footage and material from Smoking Dogs Films personal archive of images and textures to create a poetic personal landscape. Conceived as a “song cycle” in ten distinct but interrelated parts, The Genome Chronicles is organised by music from a variety of genres such as Tibetan chants, Indian Ghazals and post-punk noise pieces. The film uses this montage of sounds to explore overlapping concerns on the ethics of image making, on legacy and inheritance and on the unspoken perils of patrimony and kinship.
