From UK Filmmaker Andrew Senior comes The Evolved: Part 1, the first chapter in a twisted splatterpunk comedy epic that’s like Guy Ritchie’s Snatch by way of Peter Jackson’s Meet the Feebles and BBC’s “The Young Ones”! Detective Danny Glover, Scarborough Police’s premiere dog-napping-ring buster and general fat bastard, arrives in London to help the clinically psychotic Detective Sonny Boy with a little problem; Who is butchering London’s dogs? The answer seems obvious at first, it must be Burger Priest, the Pope’s neo-nazi clown-chef fast food empire! The detectives embark on a covert mission to uncover Burger Priest’s dark secret, but even they are unprepared for the true horror and depth of the fast food franchise’s depravity. Assisted by Feety, a heroin-addicted fetus, and Ellen Mellon, a New York reporter who also happens to be an animated ventriloquist’s doll, they must reveal the Pope’s evil plan and shut down Burger Priest for good!

The documentary portrays a behind-the-scenes look at the poor state of Argentina's civil aviation, and puts the blame on the Argentine Air Force. The Air Force has been in control of air traffic operations since the military takeover of General Juan Carlos Onganía in 1966. The producer/director, Enrique Piñeyro, claims Argentina and Nigeria are the only countries whose air force controls and regulates the airline industry. The film is heavily based on the Austral Líneas Aéreas Flight 2553 plane crash. Enrique Piñeyro takes his camera, secretly, into the control tower of the Ministro Pistarini International Airport also-known-as Ezeiza, the international airport at Buenos Aires.

Jeff Healey Bluesband Live At Notodden Blues Festival Norway, 2006-08-05. What makes Jeff Healey different from other blues-rockers was also what keeps some listeners from accepting him as anything other than a novelty -- the fact that the blind guitarist played his Fender Stratocaster on his lap, not standing up. With the guitar in his lap, Healey could make unique bends and hammer-ons, making his licks different and more elastic than most of the competition (from back cover)

Oneheadword Protection uses stop-motion animation techniques throughout, irrespective of whether a scene features objects, cardboard cut-outs or human bodies. This gives the film a febrile, panicky rhythm. An all-important sense of play and dressing-up runs throughout, yet the energies this 'playing' unleash are far from innocuous. (Re:Voir)

Milan Kundera's rambling novel The Unbearable Lightness of Being, though greatly admired, was thought by Hollywood studio executives to be "unfilmable." Director Philip Kaufman and producer Saul Zaentz proved them wrong. Emotional History follows Kaufman and Zaentz as they enlist the help of screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière and legendary film editor Walter Murch to turn the Kundera novel into an imaginative exploration of politics and eroticism, set against the backdrop of the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia. Our documentary goes in-depth to discover how indelible moments in the film - Lena Olin kneeling on a dressing mirror; Russian tanks invading Prague; Juliette Binoche photographing her boyfriend's nude mistress; became a part of cinematic history.

Award-winning documentary, Sitting Bull: A Stone in My Heart, makes extensive use of Sitting Bull’s own words, giving the viewer an intimate portrait of one of America’s legendary figures in all his complexities as a leader of the great Sioux Nation: warrior, spiritual leader and skilled diplomat. Sitting Bull’s words, as portrayed by Adam Fortunate Eagle, dominate this story. Augmented by a narrator’s historical perspective, over six-hundred historical photographs and images, and a compelling original music score, the film brings to life the little-known human side of Sitting Bull as well as the story of a great man’s struggle to maintain his people’s way of life against an ever-expanding westward movement of white settlers. It is a powerful cinematic journey into the life and spirit of a legendary figure of whom people have often heard but don’t really know.

Julien Temple's 2006 documentary film about the famous music festival from 1970 to 2005, featuring performances from artists such as David Bowie, Bjork, Blur, Oasis and Coldplay. The film is made up of footage shot by Temple at the festival in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, as well as footage sent in by festival goers after a request on websites and newspapers for footage. Temple had initially only agreed to make a film of the 2002 festival after organiser Michael Eavis expressed concern that that would be the last year of the festival. Temple then realised that he wanted to make a film detailing the full history of the festival. The film also includes footage shot by Channel 4 and the BBC during their coverage of the festival since 1994. Text from Wikipedia.
