The landscape in which we live has been around longer than we have. And it will still be there after our death. Not that the landscape always remains the same: every generation wipes out the traces of previous generations, and itself leaves new traces behind. This process has been followed for seven years with great detail, craftsmanship and without misplaced nostalgia on Super16 by Eugenie Jansen and Albert Elings. On the banks of the Netherrhine River, between the dike and the river itself, is a stretch of water meadow, Loowaard. In the derelict farmstead lives the last farmer who had cows here, there are remains of a brick factory that no longer has a function, and in the ground, remains have been found of an old Roman encampment. Until recently, the march of progress apparently had left this piece of land untouched. But now the meadows have to make way for the development of new nature.

An anonymous narrator, alone in his apartment, cannot tell if his inner life is composed of memories of dreams or memories of reality. Using a mixture of super-8 Kodachrome and nostalgic 1980's advertisements, the film captures the way pop culture ephemera are repetitively imposed on us until we feel they are our creation.

"J'ai mal à ma maman", produced with the Uccle art school's film workshop, continues the same themes thirty years on, in a more fictionalized mode, but intertwined (“Why do you think you're Jewish? Because I hurt my mom”): the mother and the fantasized condition of being Jewish. The relationship with women other than the mother also appears, whose love carries a final note of hope, rare in Paquot's work.

Not only did he do that other strange things began taking place. The police began to wonder about all of this and hired their own black magician, Ajarn Pan, to assist them in their investigation...

Filmmaker Jenny Abel explores the life and career of her father Alan Abel, known to many as "the world's greatest hoaxer."

An exploration of memory, testimony and cross cultural perspectives through close examination of the relationship between mother and daughter. A white South African middle-class mother and daughter are brought together by the mother's illness. That closeness is more than metaphorical: the daughter must get into the bath to wash her weakened mother. Perhaps prompted by that, the two begin to exhume personal memory - discovering how they recall the past differently and how these nuances of shared experiences shape their perceptions of the present. This contested past is evoked by archival Super-8 footage that is as absorbing as the spinal narrative.

Vulkanovka is a poor village in Crimean steppe, as local people say, forgotten by God and by people. Nonetheless that place came very much alive when famous Lithuanian film director Sharunas Bartas crew stayed here for almost two years filming Seven Invisible Men. Most of local people helped filmmakers a good deal. But the Grand Cinema left and probably won’t come back. So the life of Vulkanovka returned to its usual routine. But it’s not for everyone. Film director Giedre Beinoriute with her crew came to Vulkanovka nine months later. In her documentary people speak about their “cinematographic” experience with great enthusiasm. They tell about how it was and how it was different from their earlier understanding about filmmaking. Different moods and people’s openness in the film are interwoven into daily life of Vulkanovka with its rituals of caws’ feeding, shopping in the only shop “Produkty”, collecting metal and other.

Creedence Clearwater Revival were a band that during their peak could supply a seemingly endless supply of timeless three-minute rock classics showcasing the powerful vocals of John Fogerty. This performance from their first European tour at the Royal Albert Hall demonstrates why they were regarded as Americas greatest rock band of the sixties and includes many of their best known hits. These rare performances will delight long-term fans, collectors and a new music generation discovering Creedence Clearwater Revival for the first time.

A 14-years-old girl begs for money on the street with her mother. A guy about the same age gives them a coin every day he passes by, pushing his bicycle. Days are passing by, all the same, the call of the mosque scans time. One day the mother dies. The girl now begs alone for money and wears her mother's burka. The young guy passing by this time gives the girl a flower instead of a coin.

A series of land and sea battles pitted Americans against British over a three-week span in late 1814 and early 1815. The stunning victory by Andrew Jackson's army over Sir Edward Pakenham's troops on January 8, 1815, ranks as one of the greatest upsets in military history. This program uses historical materials, expert interviews, and skillful re-enactments to bring this conflict to life.
