Filmmaker Alan Pakarnyk uses radiant splashes of colour and simple composition in a seemingly random kaleidoscope of motion to depict nature at work. Sweeping the viewer through a whirlwind cycle of the seasons, the film crashes violently from one image to the next in a tour de force of beauty and destruction. Pakarnyk's imagery accelerates beyond traditional linear time-lapse techniques to become fodder for the relentless demolition process that is Nature in all its grandeur and power.

Thi Bach is of Vietnamese origin. She arrived in France at the age of 15 in 1975 and has lived there ever since. Guillaume Mazeline is the grandson of André, an officer in the French Expeditionary Corps who fought in the Indochina War between 1948 and 1950. In May 2005, the two of them took a trip to Ho Chi Minh City, where Thi Bach grew up, then to Hanoi and the surrounding countryside, where André spent two years. They went in search of traces of their past. Extending the narrative, the Vietnamese people they meet talk about their memories of the war and their hopes and concerns about the evolution of their society. This Vietnam and that of the Indochina War are the contexts for the filmmakers' questioning. Both revisit their identities: that of a grandson confronted with his grandfather's colonial experience, and that of a Vietnamese woman who has now become a French citizen.

This is a baseball team where you can say it's three strikes and you're in. The San Quentin Prison baseball team is the subject of this documentary short directed and produced by longtime journalist and filmmaker Larry Warner. The film goes inside the walls of the maximum-security prison to show the team, called the Giants, playing ball. Baseball becomes an instrument of rehabilitation through the guidance of Chaplain Earl Smith. It is the rules, the discipline and the nuances of averages within baseball that may help these inmates upon their release back into society.

Director James Spione's passionate portrait of his extended family is an intimate revelation of the inner workings of the American family farm. Unlike previous documentaries on the subject, Spione examines the impending demise of the farm where his Mom grew up as the result not of economic trends or political pressures, but rather, the increasingly strained intergenerational dynamics between family members. With extraordinary plain-spoken candor, the Ames family reveals how callous parenting and diverging religious views may have led an entire generation to turn away from the family tradition. On the other hand, the film makes abundantly clear that the work itself is still a back-breaking grind, a difficult path for even the hardiest farmer's son to follow, even in the era of air-conditioned tractor cabs. A powerful evocation of a vanishing way of life, and a moving tribute to the rare character it takes to persevere on a small American farm.

Radiometric dating is one of the linchpins of evolutionary education today. Dr. Don DeYoung shatters this and other dating methods employed by evolutionists to cast doubt on the reliability of the Bible and its chronology of earth history. Evolutionists seek to undermine faith in Genesis as the true documentary of the history of the universe. When people are told that a dinosaur bone has been determined to be tens of millions of years old, that obviously doesn’t square with the biblical record of man being created on Day 6 with the land animals. But DeYoung now demonstrates that Christians no longer have to puzzle over this glaring contradiction.

The All Blacks went into their final tour match having recorded victories over Wales, Scotland and England: the Barbarians, as is their tradition, had limited preparation, an uncapped player and an obligation to attack. However, the Barbarians' side was comprised of many of the truly great players of the era - Duckham, Gibson, JPR Williams, Bennett, Edwards, McBride and Carmichael - and together they were to produce a truly remarkable team performance, including a try from Gareth Edwards in the third minute which has proved, with the passage of time, to have been one of the best in the history of the game. Soon, the All Blacks, with outstanding players like Going, Batty and Williams, began to match their opponents' exhilarating quality. As attack and counter-attack brought a fantastic response from the Arms Park, the stage was set for the greatest rugby match ever seen. Special Features: Commentary with Phil Bennett, David Duckham and Gareth Edwards.
