Procreation is the social duty of all fertile women, was the political thinking during the 1960s and 1970s in Romania. In 1966, Ceaucescu issued Decree 770, in which he forbade abortion for all women unless they were over forty or were already taking care of four children. All forms of contraception were totally banned. The New Romanian Man was born. By 1969, the country had a million babies more than the previous average. Romanian society was rapidly changing. By using very interesting archival footage and excerpts from old fiction films and by interviewing famous personalities from that time – gynecologists or mothers who were part of the new society - the director revives this period of tremendous oppression of personal freedom. Many deaths were caused by the mere fact that women, including wives of secret Romanian agents, famous TV presenters, and actresses, had to undergo illegal abortions. Many women were jailed for having them.

A documentary exploring the life and career of acclaimed Czech director and screenwriter Václav Vorlíček (1930–2019), known for his imaginative comedies and beloved fairy tale films. From his early days at FAMU and Barrandov Studios to cult classics like Three Wishes for Cinderella and Arabela, the film revisits the legacy of a filmmaker who left a lasting mark on generations of viewers.

It is a story of two people who have given up love but find each other despite themselves through a twisted turn of hilarious events. Engaged couple, Jada and Caleb try to “hook up” platonic friends Exavia and Drew. Exavia and Drew confide each other about failed loves and nightmarish dates. All the while, Jada and Caleb (who each have no idea what the other is doing) set the friends up on blind dates with each other…on the same night, but at different places.

A found footage film that taps into the poetic tradition of the language cut-up, while taking filmic advantage of the 26-frame displacement between sound and image inherent to the optical soundtrack system of 16mm film. The magenta-shifted fragments of an educational film on "Reaching Your Reader" reveal their chemistry where the splicing tape ripped a "ruby skin" of the emulsion away from the base of the film, leaving a green tear at the edit points. Ruby Skin is a material homage to the disappearing medium and some of its idiosyncrasies.
