Contributors include sometime collaborator and buddy Phil Collins, the late Robert Palmer, Ralph McTell, Island Records founder Chris Blackwell, fellow hellraiser bassist Danny Thompson, John's ex-wife Beverley Martyn and younger generation fan Beth Orton. Conceived, written and shot in Newfoundland, this study in grief and adolescent longing is a sure sign of local filmmaker Adriana Magg's huge potential. The plot centers on Crystal Janes, a young girl with an odd relationship to her dead brother. Typically moody and self absorbed, Crystal is nonetheless sensitive and smart. Growing up is hard enough in average families, let alone one still working through its grief and guilt. A strong performance by Marthe Bernard as Crystal helps to anchor the story in a strong sense of realism, ghostly presences and all.

The programme followed Nick Knowles, Patrick Kielty and Victoria Beckham on extraordinary journeys through Zambia, India and Peru. Their experiences highlighted where the money raised by Sport Relief was being put to work. The presenters joined three children to experience everyday life in three areas the charity is battling to help. In rural areas the situation is no better, with a huge 62% of school-aged children suffering from malnutrition. Victoria met Dinah, who is 11 years old.
