Two friends, two Viennese, two poets, two unusual women. They have known each other for 30 years. Elfriede Jelinek is the better known of the two, the great author with her analytical mind and her social commitment against the whole "politician's docks." The now deceased lyricist Elfriede Gerstl remains rather tender with her poetry, although her poems do not miss a certain amount of sharpness, albeit ironically packed. When the two Elfrieden sit in their Viennese coffee house and drink the little brown, they usually talk about clothes, they talk about the fashion that Elfriede Gerstl has just collected again.

Part of a feature length narrative compressed 3 differnt times into 3 separate films of diminishing duration until the synoptic is synopsized (The Two Minutes to Zero Trilogy). A crime story told 3 different ways concerning the events of a two month period leading up to, and immediately following a bank robbery. The imagery has all been appropriated (the fancy, art world sanctioned term for stealing) from 4 issues of an early 1960's comic book version of the then popular, American TV show "77 Sunset Strip".

Chronicle of an installation Hosfelt Gallery, San Francisco, where Uruguayan artist Marco Maggi employed 400 reams of white copy paper to carpet a concrete floor. Shuffled, scattered, stratified, slipped, toppled, and shifted in a “techtonic” terrain with geological faults and urban plans, 200,000 empty pages awaiting inscription travel in all directions to survey what is absent, and quiet the space like snowfall. Strickland’s camera explores Maggi’s landscape myopically, from macroscopic to microscopic perspectives, tracing the surgical precision of the artist’s hand and contemplating his intrepid enterprise through the fragile experience of paper.
