Have You Seen This Man? explores New York City's post-modern consumer market through artist/businessman Geoff Lupo as he advertises and sells everything from a pen cap to a used thumbtack. Is Geoff playing an elaborate prank, somehow provoking New Yorkers to cross borroughs to purchase a fifteen-cent cracker? Or is he paving the way for the greatest artistic revolution since Andy Warhol's pop movement of the 60s? In this documentary short, filmmakers Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck capture the candid humor and poignancy of Lupo's seemingly absurd interactions.

This short documentary studies life in the village of Kangirsujuaq, Nunavik. In this community on the edge of the Arctic Ocean, children’s laughter fills the streets while the old people ponder the passage of time. They are nomads of the wide-open spaces who are trying to get used to the strange feeling of staying put. While the teenagers lap up Southern culture and play golf on the tundra to kill time, the Elders are slowly dying, as their entire culture seems to fade away. Elisapie Isaac, a filmmaker born in Nunavik, decides to return to her roots on this breathtaking land. To bridge the growing gap between the young and the old, she speaks to her grandfather, now deceased, and confides in him her hopes and fears. Grappling with isolation, family relationships, resource extraction, land-based knowledges, the influence of Southern culture and the ongoing impacts of colonialism on Inuit ways of life, Elisapie Isaac offers a nuanced portrait of the North.

The autobiographical account of the tormented life of a witness of the century: Louisa Ighilahriz, activist and leading figure in Algerian independence. A student, she joined the independence struggle at the age of 20, joining the ranks of the FLN on the eve of the Battle of Algiers in late 1956 under the name Lila. She took part in the high school students' strike, then fled into the maquis when she was actively sought after. She was part of the French FLN support network of "suitcase carriers" during the Battle of Algiers. Seriously wounded alongside her network leader, Saïd Bakel, during an ambush in 1957, hospitalized and then imprisoned, she suffered numerous tortures in French prisons. She will be saved from certain death by an anonymous person, she will seek, for forty years, to find him just to show him her gratitude... Emblematic of the painful Franco-Algerian history, Louisa's story is poignant and imbued with humanism.

Although his mother did everything to spare her son a similar fate, Jennerwein followed in his father's footsteps. Together with his friend Pföderl, they made a mockery of the royal hunters. After the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, devastating poverty reigned in Tyrol and Bavaria. Anyone who provided a piece of meat in such times quickly became a folk hero and the archenemy of the authorities. Mayr set his sights on Jennerwein and Pföderl. When he noticed that they were both in love with the same girl, Agerl, he stirred up jealousy...

In search of some happiness, Martin takes off to the coastal town of Mar de Plata, where his older brother lives. Unglamorous, yet enchantingly addictive and refreshingly genuine, Acuña paints a confused and uncomfortable world, and makes us want revisit it over and over again.

This film, which many may assume is a historical punk documentary, actually is an honest and needed treatment of race and identity. Punk and Hardcore music is simply the microcosm in which it is told. First time Director, James Spooner, in telling this story, has opened new dialogues on these crucial subject both intra and interracially. Many times funny, sometimes sobering, a wake up call to America. An examination of the duality of racial identity that DuBois called "double consciousness." What could have been "The Bad Brains Story" is a story about kids, alienated by two cultures and two communities. Many of these punk and hardcore kids have never questioned their role in the punk scene or the black community until their interviews, and it's obvious as they struggle on camera to reconcile a fragmented self.

Life as it is takes things as they come and people as they are.
