At the same time, this village is also famous for being populated by a lot of strange people. Will these people be scared by the ghosts or vice versa?

A dramatic contemporary story with elements of a political thriller and a strong ethical message. On a foggy, smoggy winter day, a group of terrorists hijacks a Prague bus with four passengers and the driver. They declare that they will hold the hostages until the government and parliament meet their demand to change the air pollution law. The drama of the hostages lasts one night and two days, during which a series of dramatic situations unfold. The plot takes us into the attractive world of high politics and the homes of ordinary people who are directly affected by the hijacking. Gradually, the film's fundamental question comes to the fore: Is it possible to resort to extreme measures, i.e., violence, in order to achieve environmental goals? Is it possible to achieve a cause that benefits everyone through terrorism?

“MUZHCHINI”, when pronounced by emphasizing every letter, means “mature men” in Russian. It is a catchphrase of Yevgeniy Yufit, the father of the Russian necrorealist movement and the hero of the film. This word well describes his attitude towards and interest in specific elements of Russian masculinity, which have been among the several themes of his own films. The second protagonist is Yuri Zverlin, an artist from St. Petersburg and star of Yufit’s feature “Killed by Lightning”; the third, an anonymous “Lenfilm” filmmaker. We were on a trip to the sacred monastery of lake Seliger; it all started inside its ecological pyramid, built without single nail supposedly maintaining the equilibrium of the region. It has no effect on us…

Peter Nestler portrays the everyday life of two young music students from Budapest who are trying to balance their family life, which is shaped by Roma traditions, with their academic education at music school. Brigitta, 12, and Tünde Máko, 10, live with their parents and two older sisters in Budapest's 6th district, the city's former Jewish quarter. Music is very important in this family, and both girls have been playing the violin since the age of five, just like their father and grandfather. Their grandfather discovered the girls' talent, and since then Brigitta and Tünde Máko have been attending a music school where they also receive private lessons.

Like the eponymous card game, the film consists of three parts, three different stories that are interwoven with each other in the individual sequences.

"It shows my interest in materials, medium, and apparatus of cinema. The sound will be produced from the visual on the optical soundtrack – for some parts, I used a 35mm still camera to expose the soundtrack area, and I scratched off the film emulsion directly for other parts. Each cast member recounts painful personal life episodes that unfold like cheap sci-fi stories of otherworldly abductions, familial vanishings, strange dreams and reptilian passions.

2003 Dutch experimental Film

“her carnal longings” is an audiovisual meditation on the human body and the film medium at a time when the futures of both are in question. Using the “emulsion lift” technique on 16mm film, sections of emulsion were lifted off, torn up or smudged, and then re-adhered. In combination with digital video technology, Pruska-Oldenhof creates an intricate analogue-digital weave that explores both the body’s and the film’s surface. The film emulsion wrinkles, rips and dissolves - reminding us that it, like human flesh, is fragile and perishable.
