This documentary examines the history and current reality of Toronto’s Flemingdon Park. Now a subsidized housing project, it was built in 1961 as a trendy urban utopia. A decade later it was sold, and Flemingdon became home to refugees and new immigrants. Once a model of urban planning, Flemingdon Park's flip side is a history of violence and racism that residents have fought to overcome. Yet despite challenges, the community succeeds in making people from around the world feel at home in a different kind of utopia–one where differences are celebrated and new visions are possible.

An intimate story about the author's search for her brother who went missing in action during war in Croatia in 1991. In a way, the film is a follow-up of the author's grandmother whose husband was killed in World War II. For the rest of her life the grandmother was awaiting his return. The Boy Who Rushed won numerous national and international awards, including the annual Vladimir Nazor Award for Film. It was shown at more than twenty international festivals. In 2001, it was Croatian candidate for Oscar for Best Documentary Film. The Boy Who Rushed is one of the best and most awarded Croatian documentaries in the past two decades.

Made from a combination of footage of the Genoa protests against the G8 shot by 10 members of IMC Ireland, material from the Italy IMC Archives and material from various other sources, this footage, combined with on-the-spot interviews and reenacted voiceover commentary and analysis from various websites which were active during the protests, provides a in-depth, blow-by-blow retelling of the story of the three days of the Genoa protests against the G8.

The 104 minute show was recorded at Budapest's Petofi Hall on 26th January 2002 and mixed in 5.1 surround format in Steve Hackett's own MAP studio. The setlist offers a variety of Steve's favourite acoustic material including selections from 'Bay of Kings', 'Momentum', 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and 'Sketches of Satie' together with unique acoustic arrangements of some of his band material and even one or two new and unreleased pieces. Hackett was accompanied by brother John (flute) and Roger King (keyboards)

This short film focuses on urban gay youth and their lives on the most popular gay strip in the world. It is an exposé on a rising subculture of Black and Latino gay youth representing the Hip-Hop generation. The people portrayed maintain the aggressive hyper masculine image and attitude represented in the Hip-Hop culture, yet they are gay, thus contradicting the stereotypical image of homosexuals. Through the eyes of these males, known as homo thugs, we see gay rappers, Blood gang members, pimps, and prostitutes in their struggle to maintain dignity as gay minorities.

Electronic exorcism? Computerized global burning? Digital dance of death? In the beginning reMI's video zijkfijergijok makes a textual reference to eschatology and other finalities. Excerpts of collages from an old folio apparently a religious book of instruction or lamentations supply the background which is evenly overlapped by violently chaotic grids. Everything is reduced to fractions of seconds and dissected or shredded to the scale of subliminal levels of perception.

LILIUM is the second in a series of films featuring vertical strips of color made from digital images of plants. The motif is removed from the viewer's gaze, having appeared only once and then become more indistinct. As a result, the audience is able to distinguish solely the colors of a lily.

orange factory travels the back-roads of the Korean countryside at twilight. A haunted voice, reading from Ryu Murakami's Almost Transparent Blue, recalls experiences of pain and abandonment, while an unsettling music track underscores the themes of alienation and loss. Here Cho uses light to reflect on personal history and identity. With its somber tones of orange and blue, and voiceover that explores extreme physical states, orange factory traverses the terror and beauty of memory.

A vertical feature bisects the frame in each of the shots in this video. At moments it seems to be the edge of a wooden window frame; sometimes it looks more like an abstract painterly stripe; occasionally it splits, divides and almost disappears.

Excerpted from Price's 2001 video-lecture "New York Woman," which explored the ways in which music production techniques change over time, NJS Map uses animated diagrams to lay out the historical development of one period in pop music, the briefly-lived but influential genre often called "New Jack Swing." While the video now stands alone, it must be seen as an intentional fragment, a piece of supplemental material activated by other elements of Price's "redistribution" work. For example, a 2003 essay, part of his ongoing project "Title Variable" (2001-), also investigates the New Jack Swing genre, and is itself linked to a musical album (both are available on-line; see below). Written in the style of popular music journalism, Price's essay states that "the entire New Jack Swing venture can be seen as a producer's grab for market share, a way to assimilate an obstreperous but commercially successful youngster into the secure, decades-old structures of popular black music."

During the Second World War, Lisbon was a corridor for refugees going from Hitler's occupied territories to America. This film tells two parallel stories about exile and accommodation. Through a narrated memoir and photographs, the tale of a German Jewish family that decided to stay in Portugal is recounted. The larger, more sociological account of the others who used Lisbon's escape route is skillfully told as well, using beautifully shot historic footage and written memoirs by some of the era's leading intellectuals, including Heinrich Mann and Alfred Döblin. This film evokes a desperate, intensely romantic period of exile, despair, and, ultimately, freedom.

he story describes the events of the civil war in 1992 in Tbilisi. Death is seen as something obvious, normal and an everyday occurrence. Death brings together very different people in abnormal circumstances and at the same time it pulls them apart to finally alienate them completely. The way these people behave, only underlines the great absurdity and tragedy of war.

“Il tocco” means not only “touch”; it can also mean a small quantity, a single brushstroke in painting, the striking of a bell or of piano keys. The surroundings meet the eye. Direct touch releases an interior impulse. Surfaces open to states of being. Out of this encounter arises the image. From the images, an inner place. In the film as in consciousness, the distances of spaces and bodies, the layerings of time conjoin. A house, a city in Italy, traffic, and the movements of people are visibly filmed in the present. But the images embrace a living continuity. The light of one day links my eyes to the eyes of someone who lived here, in the same city, two, three, or five hundred years ago. On a church wall, a sculptor has left an arched curtain in stone. Through the rhythm of its inward and outward foldings, the film becomes “still.”

"I was tired of aimlessly walking the club circuit so I decided to entertain myself in a more interesting fashion, combining clubbing with the creation of a work of art. Wearing the dress code appropriate to each club so that I would not stand out from the crowd, and armed with my camera, I walked into the ladies toilets of various night clubs asking the girls and women I bumped into the same question: What is in your handbag? It is unbelievable how much one can learn about girls by checking the contents of their bags and also listening to their own comments about them."

In the early 1900's, a new invention was created to address the 'problem' of women's hysteria. These devices immediately became an essential household appliance, and were advertised in nearly every women's magazine and sewing notions catalog of the time. 70 Years later, these appliances were condemned as 'perverted sex toys,' and became the subject of heated debate among lawmakers. In California, Texas, and several other states, conservative politicians successfully waged legislative campaigns to outlaw and prohibit the sale, ownership or use of vibrators and dildos while simultaneously criminalizing other 'deviant' sexual practices. Although a number of these laws have been overturned by legislatures or the courts, in the State of Texas freedom fighters are still working to eliminate these absurd and unnecessary laws. Dildo Diaries takes a lighthearted but 'probing' approach to exploring the development of sections of the Texas Penal Code and its effects on the adult sex toy industry.

In Like All Bad Men He Looks Attractive the mixed mediums are woven together on mini DV. The materials are one reel of 35mm film, and two reels of 16mm film. Inset into the 35mm film are plastic shopping bags, translucent plastic folders and plates, mylar drafts used as blueprints for bridge construction, viewmaster slides, paparazzi slides found at a tourist memorabilia shop on Hollywood Boulevard (including Zsa Zsa Gabor, Charlton Heston and George Peppard with a big white rabbit), slides purchased in the gift shops at the Getty Museum and at the Hearst Castle, "sign here" tabs from my accountant, the wings of a dying butterfly that I tried to rescue from the hot pavement of a grocery store parking lot, Hollywood movie trailers, 8mm home movies and stag films, 16mm footage, including an episode of Green Acres, viewmaster stills from 1970s TV shows, etc.
