The first sequence shows us an elderly woman in the process of taking a test which seems extremely simple. However, the patient cannot remember the words she has just read. This loss of memory is one of the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease. With patience and respect, Richard Dindo meets people suffering from this scourge. In the course of these testimonies, “La maladie de la mémoire” makes the difficult confrontation with the gulf of forgetfulness particularly sensitive. This film modifies our intimite relationship with the past, the present, but also with the future.

Two hundred years after the first Africans were transported to America against their will, their descendants sailed back to the land of their ancestors. Soon, thousands of freeborn Blacks and former slaves settled on Africa's west coast, in the land that would become Liberia, named for the liberty they so dearly sought. Liberia's growth from a "colony" with a coastline barely 600 miles long to a modern state was not without challenges, but nothing prepared Liberians for the country's devastating civil war that began on Christmas Eve, 1989, and lasted seven long years.

Ibéa Atondi uses the story of a return to his home country, Congo-Brazzaville, to adopt an unusual viewpoint on the wars of contemporary Africa. Fascinated by the bloodthirsty madness of Mignon, a Cobra fighter destroyed by alcohol and drugs, the female narrator attempts to grasp the mechanisms that drove him and his companions to abandon all human dignity. No images of violence are used to evoke the horrors of war; this is done through use of metaphor to underpin the statements of victims and executioners.

Hail Sid Caesar! The Golden Age of Comedy is a must see for all fans of Sid Caesar and television comedies. The DVD shows how Sid assembled a team of comedy writers for his shows - Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour. I was blown away by the list of talent that contributed. Names such as Neil Simon, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Carl Reiner, Imogene Coca, Howard Morris, and Larry Gelbart. The story is told by Rob Reiner, and profiles Sid Caesar and the effects success had on him. It tells the amazing story of what it was like to write, produce, direct and perform in a live show every Saturday night, for seven years. The DVD features digitally restored kinescopes, rare photos, personal memorabilia and recent interviews with the writers, Sid Caesar, Nanette Fabray, Caesar Florence, Drew Carey and Joel Siegel. It is a wonderful history lesson in television in a mere 90 minutes.

This album is what the thousands of Julian Sas fans at his gigs have been asking for. It is 100% live and the track list includes all the Julian Sas classics and favourites from his catalogue of studio albums plus an exciting version of Jimi Hendrix' Hey Joe. Although only 31 years old, Julian Sas has already been favourably compared to such blues luminaries and guitar giants like Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher and Jimi Hendrix. Over the last couple of years Julian Sas and his band have become a very popular live act, especially in the Benelux and Germany. Every show is the most important, almost a matter of life and death. The Onion Film was inspired by my work with found materials and organic surfaces. I am interested in the multiple ways in which film exists as a self-referencing medium. I worked with filmic surfaces directly, creating varied shapes and rhythms, within the constraints of the filmic frame. Much of my creative inspiration comes from various conceptual artists, both historical and contemporary.

The beginning of the domestic feature film is the story of the transformation of a naive fairground splint into a salon mystical melodrama. Having gone under the shadow of glass pavilions-greenhouses, early Russian cinema is trying to hide from the impending historical catastrophe. The revolutionary storms that have broken out drive some of the film visionaries first to the Crimea, and then to emigration. For those who remained, the struggle for survival in the new conditions begins with the development of the genre of agitfilm.

This story is set in the year 1664. Rajasinghe the Second the King of the Kandyan Kingdom, is hemmed in by the Dutch who controlled the maritime provinces of the Sri Lankan. A rebel - Ambanwala Rala, threatens him within his own kingdom. Ambanwala Rala enjoys some support from influential Kandyan chiefs as well as those who wield considerable civil power in the villages. The film revolves around the lives of this exorcist, his assistant, a woman called Kirimenike and her man Herath. The story unfolds against the backdrop of this political turmoil, the rebellion and counter rebellion weaving in and out of the inter-play among these characters and the cultural ethos that surrounds them. In the final denouement, the protagonists discover themselves and each other; partly as a result of the tumult they live through.
