Maria Stuarda is a searingly dramatic setting of Friedrich Schiller’s play about Mary, Queen of Scots, and her political and personal rivalry with Queen Elizabeth I of England. While based relatively closely on historical characters and events, the opera’s central scene is fictional: the highly emotional meeting of the queens that concludes the first act (originally invented by Schiller) never took place. It’s a dramatic device that brilliantly highlights the two women’s contrasting characters.

This poignant documentary, narrated by award-winning actress Stockard Channing, profiles the firemen of Rescue 3, who used strength and solidarity to prevail against unbearable pain and loss during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

Uncle Henk is very hot-tempered and lashes out at the slightest provocation. He also frequently finds himself in precarious situations, sometimes without having asked for them, but usually because he makes no effort to avoid them. He almost always attempts to resolve these situations with violence. He also often thinks that he does everything right and that others do everything wrong, while he is actually the troublemaker.

Suraj does not measure up to his dad's (Govind Namdeo) expectations and is often spoken to at home. Suraj wants to be rich quick, and marry one of the most beautiful girls in the world. His dreams become reality when he meets with Sheetal (Yukta Mookhey), who is a multi-millionaire business-woman. Though Suraj has no affection for Sheetal, he decides he can get really wealthy if he marries Sheetal. But Sheetal spurns him, and as a result Suraj spins a web of deception that forces Sheetal to marry him, and at the same time, teach his father a lesson for criticising him all the time. But Suraj is in for a surprise, as fate has other plans for him.
