Taken out of context, fragments, testimonies and unpublished documents intermingle, interweave and collide. They take on a new meaning, a dimension of authentic proximity. The peregrination touches on the advent of the atomic bomb, the military trials at the end of the war, the lie detector, the discovery of the Majdanek camp; Einstein, Lenin's embalmer, the KGB agent, the American spy rebuilding his life in Russia, the Yugoslav war sniper all have their say.

Blood Drive 2002 is a DVD document of Gwar's 2002 tour. According to Don Drakulich (Sleazy P. Martini) who filmed and edited this show, only 200 copies were made on VHS tape and sold at shows. Due to fan demand, Drakulich has released a DVD version from his original masters, which is being sold through his Hypereal Productions web page.

Anthemic 1980s rock band Shooting Star performs their hits for an enthusiastic hometown crowd at the Ameristar Casino in Kansas City, Mo. The songs performed include "Hang on for Your Life," "If You Want It," "Leap of Faith" and more. The first American band signed to then-upstart Virgin Records, Shooting Star rocks fans with "Tonight" and "Let's Roll," plus five bonus videos, including "You've Got What I Need" and "Touch Me Tonight."

Burners is discussing the autonomy of desire and conversations between desires. It is an expression of a certain extremely private viewpoint. It reveals the existence of privacy in soft porn and mocks at the idea of male egocentricity; it is in sympathy with the autonomy of desire and fantasizes about revolution and liberty (not only those related to sex). The video is definitely neither a cry of a defender of feminism nor a female artist's opinion on sex. It not only depicts sex, but also talks about love and choices, the mental ones rather than the physical ones.

A constellation-like video project emerging from No Ghost Just a Shell, this work repositions the digital character Annlee as an unstable subject caught between authors, images, and borrowed narratives. Rather than offering a single viewpoint, the piece multiplies perspectives: Annlee becomes a vessel through which different artists test the limits of agency, voice, and representation in the age of licensed avatars. I Am Dreaming About a Reality? examines what happens when a character is freed from commercial authorship yet remains bound to the expectations projected onto her—an experiment in identity that hovers between animation, conceptual art, and philosophical inquiry.

For spidery, mixing original shot material with colored filters, shown through a prism of water and cut crystal, to elongate and splinter the angular animal grace of the arachnidan limbs and elegant web, giving the appearance of a spider trapped in a microscopic pool or suspended within the actual projector lens. The music box soundtrack of Stockhausen's Zodiac rhymes the anthropomorphic notion of the plucked web as a sensitive stringed instrument.

When the wind blows, everything acquires a strange power

The film is about the encounter between tradition and modernity. In a small village of Papua New Guinea three exceptional men rival with each other in the field of rituals and artistic creation in order to win over their neighbours. They send a last letter to their dead who have abandoned them and who may have emigrated to a rich country from which the film-makers come.

The documentary follows the creative journey of five contemporary artists from blank canvas to finished painting. Each artist has a different relationship to the land they paint yet all are attempting to express their identity and sense of belonging through their work.

Chen Chieh-jen’s Lingchi Echoes calmly yet forcefully condemns the many forms of Western colonial domination Taiwan has endured. Its images feel like dream-images from collective memory, buried in the viewer’s unconscious and demanding a response. Projected across three screens at a slow, poetic pace, the work connects historical violence to contemporary Taiwanese society. Hovering between madness, agony, and ecstatic transcendence, the imagery turns viewing into an unsettling confrontation. Though based on a once-obscure historical document, its reenactment of lingchi in the twenty-first century feels like looking at images of hell. Loaded with colonial, historical, cinematic, punitive, and aesthetic meanings, the slowed image compels the viewer to stare—at history, at violence, and at the self. Lingchi becomes a metaphor for First World power over the vulnerable under globalization.

Our daughter Nisi and son Aza happened to both be staying at our loft on Chambers Street when fundamentalist Islam struck. A friend observing the burning buildings from Brooklyn phoned to say, “Get out. It can fall on you.” But we were upstate until 9.15 when the city partially reopened to incoming traffic, so that my taping begins with our approach over the almost empty George Washington Bridge. It would be another 15 days before we were allowed to move back into our place. Our friend Lucia lent us her high-rise apartment, facing south with a dead-on view of smoking lower Manhattan. I kept taping, hours of street observations. Although I’ve given a title to this loose selection of materials it is not so much a work as sampling of the ongoing actuality. --Ken Jacobs

Harriet Tubman, Thomas Garrett and William Still, whose tireless public efforts and clandestine activities kept the Railroad running, are among the abolitionist personalities highlighted.

In the mysterious jungles of Costa Rica a young girl on Spring Break runs into weird Jungle Vampires from Outer Space. It can only mean "Skin Eating Jungle Vampires." The "Witch Doctor" predicts Death for all.

Finally, the citizens of Wemmicksville are saying that Punchinello is a good Wemmick! He's always wanted to hear that. But in his effort to please the crowd, Punchinello forgets what his maker Eli has taught him. So when others start collecting boxes and balls, Punchinello decides he wants to have some too. They make him feel so good-until he remembers how his arms ache from holding them all. Until he remembers how tired he is from working just to buy more. Until he stumbles into Eli's workshop and is reminded of how very much he's given up to have those boxes and balls. Once again at the knee of his creator, Punchinello hears the words he needs the most: "You are special, not because of the things you have, but because you are mine."

Few words pack a lot of punch in this delightful story about bedtime rituals. There will be no pouting or shouting or moping or moaning when the lights go out because dinosaur kids everywhere will want to see this production again and again.
