Margaret Williams directs this 2001 production of adaptation of Benjamin Britten's television opera based on a short story by Henry James. Performers featured include Gerald Finley, Peter Savidge and Josephine Barstow. The conductor is Kent Nagano. As pertinent now as then, OWEN WINGRAVE was composed by Benjamin Britten at the height of the Vietnam War. The opera poses the question: Is pacifism an act of cowardice? Or rather a desire to escape from the spiral of war and create world peace? To what extent do we determine our own futures? Should we let past events inform the decisions we make? Britten’s characters grapple with timeless issues in this gripping psychodrama.

Once upon a time... There were four young men of different nationalities: Spanish, Italian, Swedish and British, a one-pound business deal that ends up becoming a one-hundred-thousand pound business deal, and a legend: The Legend of David Pilgrim. This is the basic idea behind The Pilgrim Factor, a story half-way between a comedy and a tale, about anonymous characters who accidentally happen to come across something that could prove doubtful the authenticity of the world's most famous rock group. All this takes place right in the centre of "Chicken Town"... a city where everything is possible... even a story like this one.

A true story about the filmmaker's father, a mesmerist, exorcist, and healer who can help everyone but himself. Told from the point of view of his young son (the filmmaker as a boy), who both adores and abhors his father. Marcin Wrona uses a visually energetic collage technique to create what he calls "tragicomic kitsch," one with a fantastical sense of Monty Python about it, like a missing Terry Gilliam project.

Meet L'ILYA, a young video artist who documents peoples' suicides and projects their final moments out of context in trendy clubs. Due to the film being a "moyen metrage" (or "medium-length feature," meaning, as the name implies, a film whose running time is too long to be classified as a short yet too short to be presented as a feature), L'ILYA has had enormous difficulty getting seen, even on the festival circuit. It has nonetheless left scars wherever shown. This film will haunt your memory long after the obituaries fade.
