Seeking a microscopic camera that could be incorporated into his artificial eye so he could secretly film whatever he sees, the filmmaker explores the futuristic technology that could make this possible, while revisiting chapters of his own past.

When the Chilean officials lift the ban on harvesting the shellfish "el loco" (which purportedly is an aphrodisiac) in the seaside village of Puerto Gala greed and lust take hold. Greed is embodied by Carlos Maldonato, "El Canuto," who attempts to buy all of the shellfish for a Japanese company, and by a traveling band of prostitutes that accompany the influx of fishermen. But "el loco" proves more effective, and more damaging, than anyone could have guessed.

Mingjun (Chen Mingjun), moved by the love story of lame painter Ah Jie (Lin Jianfeng) and blind girl Ah Ai (Lian Lian), risks his life to perform a miraculous cure, restoring Ah Ai's sight. Unfortunately, human nature is inherently evil. Three months after regaining her sight, Ah Ai becomes addicted to other things and begins an affair with groom Alan (Chu Weida), subsequently becoming a masseuse. Mingjun resolves to heal the infatuated Ah Jie's legs, allowing him to regain a healthy physique and redeem his "true love" with Ah Ai. However, unpredictable circumstances persist, and at Alan's instigation, Ah Ai shoots Ah Jie's legs in the head. In the accident, the gunfire also blinds , causing her to bleed profusely.

Three units were produced: Excalibur, Exeter - and Excambian, "The Queen of the Sky" to its final owners Charlie Blair and his wife, actress Maureen O'Hara. The film explores aviation pioneer Igor Sikorsky and the eleven-year restoration of Excambian by volunteers at Sikorsky's Stratford plant.

In this portrait, Tim Fountain (Crisp's biographer, and author of the play RESIDENT ALIEN) interviews friends and family of Crisp, to learn something of the significance of his death, and the "enigma of his life".

Benito Arévalo is an onaya: a traditional healer in a Shipibo-Konibo community in Peruvian Amazonia. He explains something of the onaya tradition, and how he came to drink the plant medicine ayahuasca under his father's tutelage. Arévalo leads an ayahuasca ceremony for Westerners, and shares with us something of his understanding of the plants and the onaya tradition.
