Yusho-Renaissance follows an artist and his companions on a trip to the forest, while a mysterious but beautiful woman follows; without a structural narrative, their journey becomes a lovely but surreal parade of images, altered through editing, filmed at multiple speeds or modified by video manipulation.

As Harold Pinter famously said, Taylor-Johnson is 'the weasel under the cocktail cabinet' at this particular party. The erotic undercurrents between the various people at the party are given further resonance with the use of multiple screens to portray them. “Hummadruz” is the scientific term for certain mysterious unidentifiable sounds that come from the earth. They say that especially those who have left their homeland constantly hear these sounds. The first part of this film takes place in the arid land east of Turkey. Memories of a childhood romance, children’s games and laughter, sleeping with an ill mother, are sandwiched with close-up images of eyes wide-open, blood, fear, and tension. The second narrative half tells the story of a man and his infant son who for no apparent reason jump to their death off a bridge on the Bosphorus, and a wife who follows. Dramatizing a true story, the film expresses the desperation and frustration of those who had no choice but to migrate to Istanbul from their beloved homeland.

Vanished! A Video Seance is a true story. In 1932 elderly parents and their young daughter came to live in isolation on a windswept hill on the west coast of the Isle of Man. Gef, an entity or familiar or presence, attached itself to the family for six years. It proclaimed its identity in a number of ways, one being, "I am the ghost of a mongoose with tiny yellow hands". The notoriety and investigations of the event are now all but forgotten, the house where they lived erased. Only fragments and shadows can be summoned to bear witness to that which has vanished.
