The struggles of moving Keiko, star of Free Willy, from Mexico City to a much better place in Oregon, US.

This feature documentary is a portrait of the downtown Toronto neighbourhood of Dundas and Sherbourne, where the gap between rich and poor is growing wide. There, middle-class homeowners, angry radicals, desperate drug addicts and people simply looking for a place to lay their head are embattled in a bitter struggle for space.

Lamia is an active girl also known as Lamada, who graduates from university, but fails to find a job and finds herself unemployed for several years. She takes matters into her own hands and decides to go into the desert with a few friends to cultivate a patch of it and build a community of their own. Sophia is accepted in the gang. She realises that the ball might chase the mayor's men off the yard. Yet, Sophia discovers that even great magic sometimes has dark sides: when Sophia's new friend Romeo tries to kiss her, the ball grows jealous and turns vicious...

At the U.S. embassy, Alejandro is denied a visa, which ultimately leads him to try crossing the border illegally.

Canadian director Catherine Annau's debut work is a documentary about the legacy of Pierre Trudeau, the long-running Prime Minister of Canada, who governed during the 1970s. The film focuses particularly on Trudeau's goal of creating a thoroughly bilingual nation. Annau interviews eight people in their mid-30s on both sides of the linguistic divide. One tells of her life growing up in a community of hard-core Quebec separatists, while another, a yuppie from Toronto, recalls believing as a child that people in Montreal got drunk and had sex all day long. Annau has all of the interviewees discuss how Trudeau's policies affected their lives and their perceptions of the other side, in this issue that strikes to the heart of Canada's national identity.

But they soon realize that lingering affection remains, and they cautiously try one more time.

After his daughter is contaminated with an unknown poison gas and put into an induced coma, her father, a sports reporter, starts his own research to obtain a sample of the gas so that an antidote can be developed. The trail leads to Morocco, but a powerful organization tries to stop the father's efforts.
