A traveling girl stumbles into prostitution, only to become a high priced Madam.

Children who refuse to live with their families or give up on the streets work at a bar or steal money. When you don't have money, you'd rather starve than give up playing. Several people have to bowl as much as they want, jump out of the window with their lives, and dance with real dancers at a rock cafe.

Ray is an aging ex-socialist who has become a bankrobber after seeing the demise of socialism in 1980s Britain. Teaming up with a gang of other has-beenish crims, he commits one bank job too many. The gang dissolves in a murderous flurry of recriminations.

The whale leads them to the world of Mu. But on their way they meet the mysterious object. They find out , it is Commander Red Silver, who had attacked the world of Mu to get Mu's magma sources. Submarine takes up the battle to defeat Red Silver and save Mu, and the world for that matter.

Cyril and Fiona, a free-wheeling married couple, travel to a tropical coastal town to follow their sexual fantasies. Cyril is a manipulator.
