Sreekrishnan unknowingly falls in love with the woman his best friend, Manikyan, loves. Though Sreekrishnan tries his best to woo her, she resists, leading to a battle that ensues between the friends.

This European drama, set in Paris, follows a brilliant musician as he suddenly forsakes his career, to live and love amongst the common populace. Armand is the violinist who yearns to experience that life and to share his music with everyone, not just the wealthy and the elite. He leaves the glittering world of classical music without a backward glance and takes up residence in the Paris metro where he is surrounded by beggars and tramps. There he meets and becomes friends with Lydia, a metro employee.

The year is 1891. The director of MoDo, Frans Kempe, is about to build the largest and most modern sawmill in Europe and a complete ideal society after his own mind. The place he chooses is Norrbyskär, some skerries in the Baltic Sea outside the cost of Västerbotten in northern Sweden. The experimental society with it's 1500 inhabitants and the large sawmill will live for almost 60 years.

Adrian is a Chinese Australian visiting his Hong Kong girlfriend Ann. The relationship is already in deep trouble because both are suffering from an identity crisis. Adrian is "yellow on the outside but white in the middle." The solution he thinks is a crash course for Adrian by his uncle on lovemaking techniques using a thousand-year-old Chinese sex manual. Naturally, Adrian's newly acquired skills do not work. The problem, as it turns out, is not that Adrian is "not Chinese enough" but that, according to Ann, he does not know "wonton soup does not exist in Hong Kong." The young couple's real problem, Law seems to suggest, is that they live in an eclectic and transnational cultural environment yet they are not aware of its implication for their mosaic identities. Wonton Soup is Law's contribution to the omnibus film Erotique, a collaborative effort by four women directors from four continents that bills itself as "women's erotica."

The argument between Enrique and Javier, his best friend and Marta's husband, his lover, ends with the accidental death of Javier. Faced with the difficulty of proving his innocence, Enrique decides to start, along with Marta and the corpse of Javier, a trip without direction.

Just as Maxime is trying to mend fences with her son and find out what her ex has gotten himself into, she finds herself falling in love with Jacques (Michel Didym), an economist.

There is only one day left until the New Year, and Little Fox still hasn’t figured out what to give to his friends.
