This Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is an adaptation of the classic 1950 film noir. "At that time (late 1992), I made a film for British television, Channel 4, called Las Soledades, the name of a long poem by Góngora. It was made in Chile, using many poetic elements of the country. Chile is seen through the eyes of a Chinese painter—a painter who uses the traditional 18th-century concepts of Shih-Tao. Once again, I am doing something that, apparently, is not meant to go hand in hand. The landscape of my country, southern Chile, where I was born, initially provokes in me a feeling of fear. The landscape is madness. In these crazy landscapes, you can find very reasonable people, which makes the landscape seem even crazier."

The Film revolves around life and struggle of Farmer, who has to pay his electricity bill and is tired of dealing with the corrupt systems in bureaucracy and politics in India.

The film is based on real events that took place in Moscow in the early 1980s. A KGB officer in plain clothes returning late at night is detained by a police patrol at the Zhdanovskaya metro station. The officer, who began to actively protest against the arbitrariness, was taken to the police duty room and severely injured. After that, the police officers decided to finish off their victim and take the body away and dump it outside the city. The investigation is entrusted to Gleb Yarin, an investigator with the USSR Prosecutor's Office. Soon he finds himself involved in a confrontation between two irreconcilable rivals — the KGB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The senior police leadership is determined to cover up the scandal between the security agencies by any means necessary.

Seni Camara lives with her husband and family in the village of Bigona, in the Casamance region in southern Senegal. Working outside the local tradition of making pots and “useful” objects out of clay, Seni claims that through a “gift of God” she has been able to create thousands of bizarre, magnificent creatures — clay sculptures of astonishing originality. Although the villagers don’t know quite what to make of Seni and her art, she continues to work to support her family and to satisfy her own creative urge. The film follows Seni and her husband as they prepare the materials of her art. Together they dig up the hard dirt of the land and slowly mix it with water and sand until the clay is ready to be molded (she tells by taste). While Seni does the intense work of shaping the wet clay into her truly original forms, her husband prepares the final dye bath by harvesting and soaking wild nuts in water. Finally they fire the sculptures and dye them.
