Three women. A loss in each case. Three different situations. The words the same each time. The meaning changes subtly with each interpretation. Todd makes the same use of repetition to great effect in the earlier film Out (1990) in which three women each present the same soliloquy to camera, addressing an absent loved one with some anger and regret. The film goes beyond a lesson in acting style and interpretation to become a moving expression of feeling in the aftermath of death from the point of view of one left behind. Each woman recites her lines of grief in a different setting: from behind an ironing board in an apartment block, in a chair by a window, or in a dim interior of an office over-shadowed by looming office block outside.

Farocki uses the material to savagely dissect the West German mode of life.

Satake is hospitalized in Fukushima, where his family lives, after a motorcycle accident while riding with a passenger. Although he has almost fully recovered physically, he suffers from severe amnesia. To make ends meet Ken took a temporary job as a baby photographer. The “temporary” job has been going on for twelve years. The film chronicles Ken’s picaresque daily adventures as a baby photographer while he continues to dream about being an actor.

Frank Cvitanovich's charming documentary film follows the bizarre story of a husband and wife, Merlyn and Roy Suckling, who boldly decide to start up an airline. Suckling Airways, the UK's smallest international airline, has one 20-seater Dornier 228 plane and operates two daily flights from Cambridge to Manchester and Amsterdam.

Once again, Baggy is terrorizing a small Ohio town. After renting a garage from Marvin & Illsa to live in, Baggy goes on a killing spree. Euphronios is one of the rare Greek vase painters whose name has come down to us. An exceptional artist, he stopped painting at the height of his career to devote himself to making the vases he had once decorated. He was one of the main contributors to a major transformation that took place at the time: the transition from black-figure to red-figure painting. By comparing them with the known works of the painter, Alain Jaubert reconstructs his career and analyzes his pictorial style.

A bit disregarded by the historians, the painter Edouard Vuillard is now finding a place of very first plan in the history of modern art. This film is more particularly interested in Jardins Publics, a serie of nine panels painted in 1874. Five panels are today in Orsay Museum, three others are exhibited somewhere else and the ninth disappeared. Under the apparent simplicity of the themes - women and children in a large park- there is a multitude of historical, technical and plastical riddles. Video tools permit to elucidate a few ones and even to recompose in its colours the panel disappeared during the second world war. And the deciphering of a Vuillard painting drag the spectator into a curious bouncing adventure...
