Doddy, a faithful husband, becomes a suspect. The office secretary, who adores him, suspects him. His wife, Atik, also suspects him because, when working out of town, she sees the behaviour of her male colleagues. Furthermore, Doddy has to work late because he has to accompany the company’s director during a business meeting with a Japanese company. In addition, he has to find a lady escort for his guest, and at one of the dinner parties, he is photographed being very close to Neni, the escort. Atik refuses to accept Doddy’s explanations so he has to find Neni’s pimp to prove his innocence. Instead, the escort agency’s bouncers beat him up. Finally, Atik believes him, especially when she finds that Neni is going to be married to the director.

Interspersed are less overtly sinister but somehow eerier snatches of action, like a circling brood of crude stop-motion mice or a bunch of little wooden people chopping wood and sawing logs, all differently affected by the vagaries time and the physical world foist onto film stock.
