The walls, floor and ceiling of a classroom are painted red. A girl appears and holds up a red piece of paper with the words "A woman who should never have been given a name in the first place" written on it. From this point on, a dozen or so high school students act out a play and a flood of words using the red drawing paper begins, and a spy drama proceeds simultaneously. The film is an homage to Godard and Kurosawa Kiyoshi, and is notable for its forceful narrative, which seems to want to destroy the film.

Explores the sexualisation and objectification of bodies through images of naked female and male figure. Explicitly and indirectly erotic scenes are followed by at first sensual and later noise music with narration. Black-and-white and colour photography exchange. Merely material perception of the body is additionally stressed with images of a car and a fish, which are forced in the very end of the video.

A young sailor descends from a local train. He goes to a nearby forest, which is full of strange men in medical uniforms behaving in an absurd and eccentric manner. The sailor falls under their influence and masochistically gives himself up to them only to be disemboweled by the werewolf orderlies. The sailor’s last unconscious image is a “white ship sailing towards the horizon”—a Soviet symbol for happiness and joy.

Three thirtysomething couples live in the Potsdam high-rise behind whose windows Petra Tschörtner looked for her graduation film. Long interviews that pierce the surface at once, equally revealing and oppressive. Promptly awarded a prize at the West German Short Film Festival in Oberhausen.

This documentary shows how cinema has been used very differently in three neighbouring African countries with different colonial heritages: Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Madagascar. Mozambique used cinema newsreels as a crucial propaganda tool after the Portugese colonisers left. Madagascar boycotted US movies, so its screens were dominated by French, Indian and Hong Kong films instead. But a few films managed to get made. The situation in Zimbabwe was the worst, except that alone of the three countries it possessed an efficient film laboratory.

The inspiration for the film was a four-line poem written by the late János Pilinszky (1921-1981), an outstanding figure of contemporary Hungarian poetry. Focusing on artistic portrayals of the Holy Virgin, photographic and animation media are combined to capture an atmosphere and convey a lyrical sentiment by means of the continually changing spectacle.

In a large village nestled among the mountains, far from the sea, one day a man appeared on the shore carrying a canoe. "Where do you go to the sea?" he asked. "But when I was born, I knew the sea." Between jokes, he's challenged to follow the course of the waters.

Doris Stokes was a Spiritualist superstar who publicly demonstrated - to the satisfaction of many thousands - that there is Life After Death, and we can contact those who have 'passed over'. At private sittings, in Spiritualist churches and in theatres and cinemas, the homely 65-year-old medium would chat away to 'the dead' as if they were next-door neighbours. Doris Stokes was not clairvoyant - she didn't see things or go into a trance. Doris was clairaudient - someone who works like a radio receiver tuning in to the other side, and picking up the voices of 'the dead' and passing their messages on to the living. Sceptics will undoubtedly accuse her of fraud, but to most of her audience, who are shattered by grief and who have failed to come to terms with bereavement by more conventional forms of religion or philosophy, Doris Stokes brings good tidings of comfort and joy, and a more solid contentment than can be found in a conventional church or through a bottle of tranquillisers.

The story of a short but intense friendship between two very different women in Berlin. Mascha, in her mid-30’s, worked as a television editor for years before dropping out to make two self-financed and unexpectedly successful theatrical films. At the moment, she is taking a break – she’s run out of ideas. Her plight is made worse by her boyfriend Frank’s unsympathetic attitude. He is a head of production, from a working class background, an unscrupulous career man, and won’t tolerate an unsuccessful woman around him. In the midst of this exasperating mess, Mascha meets the ‘’wolf girl’’, Dennis, a young black rebel who works as a cleaner in a theater. The girl fascinates Mascha and she finally breaks her long, loveless relationship with frank so she can spend more time with Dennis. The two women move in together: Mascha because she wants to turn the simple ‘’wild’’ Dennis into a more sedate person, and Dennis because she has secret hopes of finding human warmth and shelter.

A railway line is to be laid through remote Lusatian farmland. Surveyors herald the “new era” with their work. The events also leave their mark on the people. Stylistically idiosyncratic first feature film by a director who comes from documentary film. The story is told as a parable about the relationship between humans and progress, with the actors making extremely clever use of their freedom.

One day Jean-Baptiste Beauregard (Pierre Curzi) does not go out to face work or daily activities, instead he daydreams about the women in his past, about his teenage years, his failed marriage, and even his boyhood desires. His mental images follow each other across the screen, revealing that the women in his life are all the same (different wigs and costumes on the same actress), and his love life never changes either. This sameness can have a dulling effect on the viewers, indicating that if Jean-Baptiste's reminiscences were trimmed and his daydreams more varied and exciting, he would hold interest a little longer.

A cinematic foray into nocturnal nature, where numerous nocturnal animals are in search of prey: From midnight to 4 a.m., the camera observes bats and other nocturnal creatures.

Ismaeil is living with his son Ali and his daughter Sona. His wife passed away and his friends are insisting on him to get marry again. In school Ali's friend is complaining abut his step mother who beats him making Ali in deep fear of step mothers. Finally Ismaeil gets marry with Astar who is a teacher. Although she is very friendly and cares for the children Ali is resisting her and is aggressive with her. But little by little they get more close to each other.
