We find our three heroines at a reading of the will for Mr. Christian, who ran a school for girls. Christian decided that the girls needed humbling, and so he left them nothing. They must go out and get jobs immediately. Produced by Prince, the short film was created as a promotional tool for the trio, Apollonia 6. The film, which was titled either “Happy Birthday, Mr. Christian” or “Apollonia 6: the Movie,” was shot but never given a final edit – only a leaked version exists, missing sound effects, bumper music for the shot transitions, and is clearly a rough cut. The Apollonia 6 film was directed by Brian Thomson, an Aussie who did the production design for the original productions of The Rocky Horror Picture Show and the original stage show.

Lacking a coherent plot, We're All Riding on a Circus Elephant depicts the collapse of western civilization as a free-form collage advocating group anarchy and actor improvisation. There is another character, a journalist, who comes in and out of the film, and functions as a commentator and witness of their lives. The dialogue veers on philosophical messages as director, Slamet Rahardjo, tries to represent both the lower and upper classes, mixing his narrative style with realism.

How can you call a bondage film "cute?" Don't all of those whips and chains hurt? I guess they do, sometimes, but what we have here is a real first: a dominatrix with a good sense of humor. This neat little parody of exercise videos has all of the spikes, leather, plastic balls in the mouth, collars and whips you'd ever want —yet it has the ability to make us laugh, easing our way into at some bizarre fetishes.

The lives of three generations of peasant farmers in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy are the focus of this unexciting, flat-footed saga by Florestano Vancini. When the grandfather (Marne Maitland) first decides to leave his job of canal-building and move to northern Italy, he takes up work as a peasant on the land of a local priest, while his oldest son Venancio (Massimo Ghini) starts driving a carriage. More of a visionary than a chauffeur, Venancio first gets involved in organizing the peasants into a kind of farmer's union, and when that movement goes under, he devotes himself to educating the farmers instead. Along the way, his mother dies, he marries Mariena (Anna Teresa Rossini), and they have children. Much to Venancio's sorrow, his own sons do not want to stay in farming, and as they grow older, only one remains at home to till the soil. In the meantime, the specter of fascism is growing stronger by the day and the clouds of war being to darken the horizon.

Set during summer in the Îles-de-la-Madeleine of Quebec, Mario and Simon are two brothers living in a fishing village with their mother, who runs a grocery story, and their father, who runs a fishing business. Mario is ten years old, mute and autistic. He is withdrawn from reality and living in a surreal world that only his older brother Simon and his stuffed coyote share. Mario is very close with and deeply admires his 18 year old brother, whom he depends upon for love and attention. Simon reads Arabian Knights stories to Mario, dresses him in sheik's clothing and they play out imaginary wars in an Arabian style fortress that they built. Everything changes when Helene, a beautiful young tourist comes between the two brothers. Simon falls in love and begins to neglect his brother to spend time with her. Mario feels rejected and discovers what hate and jealously are. He sets about a chain of events that lead to tragedy.

They grow up alongside a man involved in illegal activities. Both brothers engage in the same activities and become notorious gangsters. However, at Cemal's request, Kartal leaves the business. He leaves the city. In Kartal's absence, Cemal is killed by his rivals. After these events, Kartal returns to seek revenge for his brother.

Jacques Rozier followed Bernard Ménez's tour in 1984 after the surprise success of his song "Jolie poupée". From a timecoded video in the possession of Jacques Rozier, post-production work was carried out in 2001 under the supervision of the director for his retrospective at the Center Pompidou. The element resulting from this work was digitized by the Cinémathèque française at the Hiventy laboratory in 2021.
