Part one is Chef Joachim Splichal, the chef de cuisine for the Regency Club in Los Angeles, speaking about the future of French cuisine, with the young chefs challenging the old cooking methods. Part two shows the preparation of fine dining foods. Part three shows the final products, with the menu items listed and the final dishes plated. The fine dining images are turned surrealist and disturbing when set to the intense mechanical score and with prolonged still shots.

But they both have somewhat illegitimate interests. She's waiting for an admirer, he's accompanying his girlfriend to a cottage. A diplomatic duel ensues, so as not to reveal more than necessary...

The film explores an underlying tension that is presented by these issues: not having coped with today's education system, yet unable to relate to things Maori because of not being taught by their elders. Not identifying as part of the Pakeha or Maori worlds leaves many young Maori floating or simply lost in a society from which they feel alienated. For many of these young people living in the cities, life is tough.

Sikkim is a paradise for the naturalist. The steep variations inelevation and rainfall help create a multitude of species within a limited area. The original inhabitants of Sikkim belonged to the Lepcha tribe, then came the members of the Bhutia tribe from Tibet, and even later the Nepalese. The Sikkimese love to decorate not only their homes but anything that can be decorted -with flowers. This film introduces to the viewer some floral - species of Sikkim.

The sails are hoisted and, leaving the port, a sailboat makes us live its discovery of the sea. Subjected to the capricious mood of the weather, it sails sometimes under a burning sun to the incessant rhythm of the waves, sometimes faces the fury of the waves, then calm returns.

Instead he is being happily pulled from one apartment into the next one, making him more and more nervous. Eventually, he runs into the streets and gets into a big group of heady-with-victory football fans.
