A re-edited version of NORTH BEACH; more frenetic, more out there, more '80s. "It is interesting to note that this tendency toward design, so prominent in '70s filmmakers like Hills, currently have connotations of hard-mindedness, rigorousness and even asceticism, whereas in other times such a preoccupation with pattern would more often than not be associated with mere decoration, hedonism, frivolousness and irrationalism." – Noel Carroll, The Soho Weekly News

The film tells the story of the smelter brigade of a steel mill whose members are connected by a strong comradeship. Among the workers are, for instance, young Rolf, whom everybody just calls "Lachtaube" and who always comes through for his co-workers, or the likable Hubert, who works as a simple smelter again after being dismissed as the head of the steel mill. Then, there is also the stubborn Manfred, who should have become a brigadier long ago because of his experience and his competence, but this privilege is refused to him because Manfred is not a party member. Ironically, it is Manfred who hears by accident about the plans of the mill to close down the old Martin furnaces – and to lay off the smelters. When the other men learn about the plans they enter the barricades for their jobs and force the plant′s management to face the workers′ demands and criticism.

Groundbreaking and visionary, this is archival documentation of Kate Bush’s one and only tour. Originally known as the “Kate Bush Tour” as well as the “Lionheart Tour”, it later became known under the moniker “The Tour of Life”. The only official video release from the '79 tour was an abridged 12-song set titled “Live at Hammersmith Odeon” in 1981. In 1994, "Live at Hammersmith Odeon" was released as a VHS box set that contained a CD of the performance. This footage presents the tour performance from beginning to end and consists of all three acts as well as encores and backstage warm-ups. The audio is from the soundboard recording of the concert.

Portable Country is a classical Venezuelan film about the urban guerrilla. Based on the novel of the same name, written by Adriano González León, the film centers on Andrés Barazarte, a disillusioned man from a wealthy landowning family, who grapples with his personal and political identity in the midst of Venezuela's tumultuous social changes and engages in the guerrilla. He reflects on his life, his family's decline, and the broader struggle for power in a country torn between tradition and revolution. The story unfolds as Andrés is tasked with transporting a mysterious package. This journey becomes a metaphor for his search for meaning and a confrontation with his family’s, and his country's, violent past. His recollections weave together with present events, creating a complex tapestry of memory and history.
