Cinematic Era: 1979 Vintage

Gugu is a homosexual dressmaker who works with his mother in her studio. She does everything to get him married and after much insistence, he agrees to marry Sônia, with whom he has a son. One day, couldn't take that dubious situation any longer, he left his wife and moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he set up his own studio, finally living the life he always wanted. After a few years, he receives the news that his wife has passed away and he returns to his homeland, meeting his son Régis, also a homosexual dressmaker. They both move in together but, ashamed of their sexual preference, they hide it from each other. This leads to many humorous situations, as the two are constantly harassed by women from whom they always try to get away.

This short film by Walerian Borowczyk was made in 1979 but is so little known that when it was rediscovered in 2014 it had not been included in any of his filmographies. Of all Borowczyk's films, this is the one that most clearly shows his love of early cinema and pre-cinema, in this case Charles-Émile Reynaud's praxinoscope.

Two somewhat crazy friends Milan (Milan Lasica) and Julo (Július Satinský) resolve to have a peaceful holiday in an old guard house that Julo has bought from his uncle. But in the early hours of the very first morning they are woken up by the loud sound of a trumpet. It is the severe supervisor of a nearby recreation center forcing the children out of their beds and out to exercise drill. To protect themselves from the children, Milan and Julo put up signs saying "private property". The first to disturb their privacy is the supervisor's little granddaughter Miluska, who uses their shed as her gingerbread house. The children in the camp are disgruntled, the supervisor's program bores them, and so they make up all sorts of other things to do.

The 20-year-old Berliner Wilhelm, called Willi, returns from two years as a prisoner of war to the village of Weltzow in the Havel region, where he meets Hans Graber, a former comrade from the front. Hans is now a teacher and finds Willi a job with innkeeper Brunzel. His daughter, Mrs. Leidenfrost, has been a widow for five years, as her husband was killed at the front. Over time, she begins to take a liking to Willi, but Willi is not aware of this. He is interested in the dressmaker Ulla, but skips their first meeting when he learns in the inn that Ulla has an illegitimate child.

With the camera in love between them, the real Mayumi Mitome and the Mayumi in the film are in honest agreement, and there is a freshness to the film that leaves no room for the viewer to question or feel any directorial intent. In the last part of the film, Mayumi arrives at the beach of Enoshima and says, "I'm going to America to swim in this film," and as she changes into a bathing suit and jumps into the sea, she says, "She really went to America. When she changed into her bathing suit and jumped into the sea, the narrator said, "She really went to America, don't you believe me? The film is symbolized by her reply to the camera, "Yes!

He returns home to his village and promptly becomes an outlaw leader (dacoit). He crosses swords with a vicious dacoit called Raka.

But he can no longer save him from arrest and fetches the flag himself. On the way back, he is arrested with it. In prison, he meets Jerome again - and his older brother Jacob, who is an executioner. Jakob wants to let his brother go if he renounces the Peasants' Union. Christoph refuses and is able to escape with the flag.

It was later shown on cable networks as a movie.

Pólika, tired of her husband Balázs Nyiri’s partying, moves in with her aunt. Nyiri, desperate to win her back, tries everything but fails. Aunt Zsani seeks help from her brother, Uncle Lajos. They sing Pólika’s songs at a pub, joined by the household. Aunt Zsani’s housekeeper, Pepi, serves them food, while servants share news of the Nyiri farm’s sale. Frustrated by the scandals, Pólika tells Nyiri to run away with her if he wants.

Sheru (Shatrughan Sinha) and Vicky (Sunil Dutt) are two gangleaders. After a series of complications and mishaps both realize that they will be better off being friends and helping the poor and needy. They also fall in love with two separate women, one of them is Lacho (Reena Roy). When these two turn good guys, the bad guy's leader Banwanri (Ranjeet) gets angry and vengeful. Fortunately, for our two heroes get support from a honest police inspector (Premnath). Then Sheru finds out that Lacho really loves Vicky and his son, this embittered them both against each other. And the two again resume their old rivalry and hatred for each other.

Shot by Chang Chao-Tang and cinematographer Christopher Doyle, The Boat Burning Festival captures the ceremony worshipping Wangye（王爺）, the local god of plague, held every three years in Sucuo Village（蘇厝） in Tainan（台南）, Taiwan. Chang timed the work to "Ommadawn", a Celtic-inspired progressive rock album by Mike Oldfield. Defying genre conventions and deviating stylistically from television or ethnographic documentary, the film testifies to the tense and complex coexistence of traditional rites, local folklore, and discourses about modernisation and identity in 1970s Taiwan.

The second TV adaptation of popular novel by Serbian comedian Branislav Nusic. A small town is disturbed by the arrival of a "suspicious person", an unknown man wanted by the local authorities. On April 1st, single mother Maria and her ten-year-old son Micha move into a new apartment located in the Berlin district Marzahn. On the very first evening, Maria gets an invitation from her neighbor Alvaro, a political emigrant from Uruguay who keeps working for his country’s Communist Party while staying in the GDR. Maria and Alvaro fall passionately in love. Even Micha, who is suspicious of Alvaro in the beginning, eventually becomes friend with him. Thus, nothing stands in the way of their happiness – except for the certainty that Alvaro will have to leave as soon as he gets a new assignment.
