Cinematic Era: 1974 Vintage

Produced by the Junior League of Miami, this history of Coconut Grove uses still photographs, interspersed with live action shots of contemporary Coconut Grove. Documenting the earliest settlers as the Pent and Frow families, and after the Homestead Act of 1862, the Beasley, Peacock and Munroe families, its growth is seen with the development of black communities and both civic and social structures as the Housekeeper's Club and the Library. Incorporated as a city in 1919 and annexed by Miami in 1925, the area remains as a unique residential and recreational community on the bay.

"Isolation ist Transparent" manifested the concept of my video performance work. The video camera hung from the ceiling and transmitted the action from above into the auditorium, which was separated by a transparent wall. The audience saw me acting and, at the same time, they saw the camera's video recording from above. From a perspective they certainly couldn't capture in person – two simultaneous and different views of one action. In order to see that a sequence of photographs is a film, I made various experiments within a single uninterrupted film. This work was the starting point for my work from "Dutchman's Photographs (8mm version)" which I made after interrupting this work, to "Emotion Boat" in 1976.

Micronesia transitioned from Spanish, German, and Japanese colonies to American rule. The film follows survivors of the Pacific War, including conscripts from Korea, and questions the history of the modern era of invasion.

The image captured by moving the camera left and right moves left and right on the screen. The screen was then re-shot by moving the camera left and right. When the image movement and the camera movement are in the same direction, there is no movement, and when they are in the opposite directions, the movement accelerates.

This short film video hybrid, combining film and video processing (colorizing, feedback, mixing, quantizing) saturates the viewer's sensorium with colors and echoes and the burlesque grinds of the 1940 and 1950's dancers as recorded on historical footage. The 'motel' viewer checks out the past, while turning up the dials on the video-synthetic future.

While Badamkhand was studying in the city, his mother fell ill and was being treated, and because they did not have a place of their own, a local swan and a driver stayed in Tsendi. Badamkhand came to Tsendin and said to his mother, "You are a good boy, take care of this song." He will marry his mother and have a child. Tsend was a restless person. This time, Badamkhand meets Jamyan and falls in love with her, leaving her husband and child. The boy will be brought up in a children's colony due to random incidents. When Badamkhan learned about this incident, he went to visit his son, but he refused to meet him. A moral film that shows how the fate of children is affected by this.

The film was shot during the period of the dictatorship and is an attempt to criticize in a veiled, suggestive way, for understandable reasons, the American model of life.

This film is dedicated to Augustin Le Prince, French genius of proto-cinema who invented projected cinema in continuous light, and who mysteriously disappeared during a train trip between Dijon and Paris in 1890. And also to Baruch Spinoza, famous philosopher from 17th century, who was also optical glass polisher, and who got blind because of its dust.

Liberdade, located in the center of São Paulo, is better known as "the Japanese neighborhood". The film shows immigration, the first Japanese settlements, the daily life of the community and the relationship between tradition and cultural assimilation.

It depicts a dog being dragged by the hand and the reflection of humans in the dog's eyes, and uses animation techniques to capture the image of a line that starts from the umbilical cord and goes through all the panoramas of life to the hanging rope.

Early in the morning on April 25, 1974 Ricardo Costa is awoken with a phone call from his friend Ilidio Ribeiro, his partner in publishing activities, announcing that a revolutionary coup was just taking place and that he would soon pick him up with his car. Costa owns a Paillard-Bolex 16mm movie camera, running with a manual wound spring motor. He has two color Eastman 120 meters (390 feet) rolls stored in the frig. Their publishing house, MONDAR editores, has in press a book with drawings by the French humorist Maurice Sinet (Siné), entitled CIA.[1] The publishers are watched by the police, the PIDE/DGS, since their books disturb good order and subvert the rules of the fascist regime which has been governing Portugal for about fifty years.
